Celebration Expectation

Well, we've not had much to celebrate around here since Hurricane Ike, but i suspect that will be changing in the next month or so. We are going to be getting back into the house sometime relatively soon, and you can bet there will be a celebration to go with that big event. But my wife and I have already been looking forward to having more folks in once we have settled in. I'm already pretty sure that we will be holding a big Pre-Season Pigskin Party in August. After all, we are Texans fans -- so we will round up all sorts of football-themed decor from Celebrations.com. They are a great source for theme party ideas and all the related party goods. We'll make it an indoor/outdoor tailgate party for ourselves and a few friends during the first away game of the pre-season.

Then there will be the holiday parties -- and there are also great planning tips at Celebrations.com. Check them out!

Boots For Scootin'

Well, down here in Houston we are in the run-up to that grand celebration of cowboys, cowgirls, and livestock known as the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This year I'm looking forward to wearing one of the things I survived from Hurricane Ike last fall -- a brand new pair of Justin boots that I had just gotten a few days before the arrival of the storm. Of course, there was only one place in Houston to gt them -- Cavender's Boot City, which I've always found to be the top outfitter of western clothes and accessories from companies like Ariat, Lucchese, Justin, and Wrangler. In fact, I expect to be making a trip their direction in the next couple of weeks, shopping for the final item of rodeo wear -- a cowboy hat. What do you folks think -- black, white, gray or silver? And who knows, we might just get my darling wife a pair of ladies' cowboy boots to match mine as well. Best of all, they have a great web presence as well, for all you folks not blessed to be here in Texas.

Bingo

I used to play bingo a lot when I was younger -- there was this girl, and she used to go play with her grandmother and I would tag along for fun. I'll be honest -- I reallly grew to enjoy the game, though I'll concede that there was more than a little bit of enjoying the presence of the young lady. And since my girl and her grandmother played a couple of nights a week, I spent more than a little time playing.

Well now that we are in the internet age, you can play online in your spare time. There are lots of sites where you can play, and others where you can learn about places to play the game. Take, for example bestoffersbingo.co.uk. It has a good listing of online sites that will allow a person to play bingo. They also offer a comparison of those bingo sites as well.Best of all, the bingo sites that are listed have been checked out and are safe to use.

The site is broken down into various categories, including a list of top 10 bingo sites with information given on each one. There are also sections on the free bingo site of the month, the best bingo site of the month, as well as a section devoted to more unusual sites.

You will also find a ningo site search engine as well as some blog articles offering news and reviews about various sites. All of this together makes the site valuable for those interested in online bingo.

Canadian Web Hosting

When I first started my original blog, I really didnÂ’t know what to do or what my options were. That's why I went with the leading free host and followed their cookie-cutter directions on how to make a rather generic site. Over time, I found the limits to be rather, well, limiting. That is when I decided to look into a moving to a paid host. After all, my site had become a small business for me as well.

One of the great things about the internet is that national borders do not confine us when it comes to web hosting services. Indeed, there are certainly as many good hosting services outside the US as there are in the US. That's why I find this hosting service to be a good option. Their prices are right (and with with the exchange rate to US dollars, they are really great) and they have a guarantee of 99.9% up-time -- hey, there's no way to guarantee 100%. They even have some great starter packages for someone who is just beginning a site -- whether a blog or an e-commece site. And as you grow, there is always the possibility of upgrading your service as you find it necessary. So consider the folks at CanadianWebHosting.com if you are located in Canada -- and maybe if you are located elsewhere, too.

Health Insurance

Well, it is that time of year again. The district switched our health insurance company again, moving us to yet another company (the fifth in the last ten years) in an attempt to save the district money even if it ends up costing the employees even more. Actually, I think we may come out ahead on this one, even if I am paying a bit more every month. Given that we have two diabetics in the house, and my darling wife's medical issues, we need insurance to keep us out of the poor house.

Frankly, I'm not sure what we would do without the insurance that we have. I suppose that we would have to try to find Affordable Health Insurance for the two of us. It is available, too, even for individuals, through various insurance companies if you take the time and look. For example, if you look for Health Insurance at Online-Health-Insurance.com , you will be able to find some good quotes on health insurance, as well as links to many articles that will help you determine what your health insurance needs are and how to maximize your health insurance dollar. And given the state of the economy as w enter this new year, that is important -- who knows how many folks employed today will find themselves without a job -- or health insurance -- over the coming weeks and months. So be prudent and examine your health insurance options today.

Blinds

As anybody who regularly reads the blog here at Rhymes With Right knows, my wife and I took a pretty serious hit from Hurricane Ike back in September. Right now we are waiting for construction to finish on the post-flood renovation -- and that means that we are looking at getting a lot of different things for around the house.

Would you believe that one of the items on our list is Blinds? And that is even though the only three sets of blinds actually took damage from the 30 inches of water, mud, an sewage that turned our lives upside down. We basically lost all the furniture (my dad's desk and her mom's bookcase might be able to be restored) -- and that means we will need all-new window treatments to go with our all-new furniture.

I've been looking at a lot of online sites for these blinds, since there are so many great possibilities on the internet. For example, there is an incredible selection of curtains, mini blinds, bamboo shades, shutters, are some window drapery hardware and window blinds offered by Smith+Noble. We've not made a decision yet, but I think we may end up with some of those bamboo shades in the bedrooms and other parts of the house. Best of all, the prices are quite competitive, so we are likely to save some cash on their quality merchandise!

Labels And Stickers

I do a lot of work with political campaigns, and have found that there is always a need for good looking stickers and labels. After all, a candidate needs to increase his or her name recognition, right? That's why they are so important to a campaign.

Of course, the same is true in any field of business -- labels are an important way to sell a product to sell or establish a brand identity. packaging and advertising are key -- and the use of labels and Stickers can be very important in that regard.

Frontier Label is a company that prints custom labels and Stickers. They are a leader in the field, creating their own machinery to enable them to create the best in stickers and labels to take advantage of their knowledge of marketing and establishing a brand.

Now you may wonder -- why would you want to buy Stickers and labels on the internet rather than finding a local supplier. Well, how about price? I know how much things like bumper Stickers cost, and I was surprised at how well Frontier Label stacked up against the competition. Similarly, the cost for their other labels was quite reasonable. So if you need labels or stickers for your product or business, why not check them out?

An American In Paris

In my life, I've made a few interesting and exciting trips, including a couple out of the country. Lately that hasn't been an option, as health issues, deaths, and an unpleasant meteorological event called Hurricane Ike have turned the lives of my wife and I upside down. But 2009 will be different -- this I pray.

What brought all this to mind? Well, the impending new year, of course -- but also a couple of YouTube videos that I came across. Both are humorous takes on what can happen when one goes on vacation. I could easily see myself being this Americans in Paris, given my success with building and rebuilding things. Hopefully i would not be the cause of any sort of international demolition -- and I certainly would not get myself into the sort of jam that teh fellow in their Brazillianvideo did -- clearly he needs to be on the internaional equivalent of jerry Springer.

Of course, these videos are quite fun, but vacationing is a serious business. Like they say, what happens on vaction is, in the end, your own business (well, maybe not for the folks in these videos). All I know is that they have helped reignite my wanderlust, and perhaps they will inspire my darling wife and I to travel to our preferred destination this year -- probably some place with a glacier to beat the Texas heat.

Consolidating Debt

Let's be honest -- the economy is a mess right now. For all too many people, there is just not enough money to get by comfortably, especially when they take into account the debts they still need to on pay in order to keep their head above water financially. But realistically, one can only tread water in this manner for so long before something gives. That is where debt consolidation may become the best available option for folks in that sort of situation. After all, while our nation's banks and automakers might be too big to fail, we humble citizens are not, so it is necessary to consider getting assistance from other sources hen you need to restructure your debt.

That is the business of the fine folks over at Bills.com can be of assistance. They offer access to a large variety of programs and opportunities for those in need of assistance in cleaning up after their profligate spending or financial emergency. Indeed, one method that is suggested is to consolidate all of one's credit card payments on to a single card at a lower interest rate if you have good enough credit to do so. Not only does that reduce the number of payments, but it also cuts down on the payments, especially if you can find a 0% interest card and avoid bankruptcy or credit counseling.

Blaze Media Pro

We just lost most of our computer equipment in the flood of our house during Huricane Ike. I put it up, but not high enough, and I could see yesterday that the water reached my hard disk drive, so it is toast. That means a new computer will be coming my way to supplement this laptop, and with it new applications.

It also means I will try some new things. One will be a new multi-media software package, since I wasn’t really happy with the various programs I had been using. Why do I need a separate MOV converter , video encoder, and audio converter? Blaze Media Pro does everything a half-dozen programs on my old computer were needed for -- conversion, ripping, editing, recording, burning, playback, and much more. It supports CD/DVD, VCD, SVCD, and DVD burning. Plus it works with every audio and video format I could possibly want. So I expect it will be finding a home on my new computer – whenever the insurance cuts the check.

It is possible to take in a few of these during Amsterdam short breaks.

And the canal is a great convenience in terms of transportation as well -- you can usually hop on and off of these tours at spots that are of particular interest.

Amsterdam is also noted for the many small coffee shops, restaurants and bars that dot the city An hour or two in one of them will allow you to see what the city is really like, and to see what modern Dutch culture is really like.

Looking For Labels?

If you have a business, you need to buy office supplies. Among the many things you buy are labels. But letÂ’s be honest -- that isnÂ’t something that you would initially think about when buying supplies.

FrontierLabel.com
has a great website that is simple to understand and easy to navigate. The site is sleek, modern, and intuitive. And that is merely the first impression. As you navigate the site, it becomes even more welcoming. It offers instant quotes and assistance with artwork. I would really need the latter service, sinceI have a real lack of artistic talent and donÂ’t have much knowledge of graphics programs for my computer.

FrontierLabel.com has a huge variety of labels to meet your needs. You can get labels and stickers for virtually any item, from candle labels to wine bottle labels to tea tin labels – items that I never realized even existed. And if none of those labels suits your purpose, you can always consider ordering labels by size. And since there is also a bulk purchase discount, so the more you order the less per label you pay.

FrontierLabel.com is so certain that you will like their labels that they will send you a free sample of their products. That practice has sort of gone out of fashion with many companies, but not this one – they are that sure of their product.

Factoring

It is just one of those things -- when your business is growing, your financial expenses are also growing. You can find this to be a real challenge, especially if you have a new small business which hasn't seen its financial capital grow to the point that you have sufficient cash flow for any situation. As a result, your business credit sales and commercial accounts may begin to have a financial shortage. When that happens, you need to get together with an accounts receivable financing service.

You seem most folks don't realize that businesses that offer credit terms have a hidden asset that can be used for collateral to help cash flow. The receivables are the collateral and the business may then draw cash against the eligible accounts receivable at any time. Accounts receivable financing, or Factoring, is not a loan, which means that there is no payments or business debt.

Every industry is evaluated differently, and each company's invoices are not the same. Not all Factoring Companies accept every industry or are willing to work with every company. Your business must be selling to a good credit worthy customer. Receivable financing from a Factoring Company is available to companies that provide services, or businesses that deliver products to commercial accounts. If the service or product is completely delivered, the invoice can be used to acquire funding.

When I first started my original blog, I really didn’t know what to do or what my options were. As a result, I went with the leading free service, and followed their cookie-cutter directions on how to make a rather generic site. But over time, I found the limists that they placed on me to be rather troubling – and the ads and blurbs of other free services to be something I wasn’t interested in doing. That is when I decided to look into a moving to a paid host. That is a path taken by many bloggers, in every part of the world.

If you live in UK, you can find a UK Web Hosting service that that offers good customer services at a very affordable price. They have a number of packages available to you, but consider this one -- for only £ 2.98 a month, you can get hosting services that give you 1000MB of space, space, 1 free domain name (probably all you need), unlimited email, 10GB data transfer per month (a respectable amount of bandwidth for a small blog), 24×7 technical support for your blog, free online website builder, webmail, cpanel, Microsoft Frontpage compatiblity, Dreamweaver compatiblity and anti spam/virus software. Not a bad package for that price

As you grow, there is always the possibility of upgrading your service if you find it necessary. But as a starter plan, these features will cover all your needs for beginner – and you will find it superior than free blog services.

Blinds

Are you considering the possibility of selecting blinds as a functional addition to your interior decoration? After all, window blinds are a very popular touch to many homes and offices, and serve as a less expensive, more durable alternative to other window coverings that serve to block excessive sunlight coming in through your windows.

There are, of course, a wide variety of window blinds to choose from, depending upon your needs and taste.

You could select faux wood blinds that offer durability due to their moisture-resistance, They also don't scratch, chip, or fade.

There is also the option of mini blinds, generally made of aluminum. They are the most widely used window covering today, due to their price, attractiveness, and durability.

Some folks like panel track blinds, which provide a different look for your space.

Vertical blinds are an old friend to many of us, and complement most window shapes and add height to any room.

And then there are wood blinds, which are always popular among designers.

There are, of course, other possibilities as well, including Bali shades roller shades and Roman blinds, which might also suit your needs very well. And at BlindSaver.com, you can get free shipping, free samples and free extended service warranties on all your orders. For your assistance call: 877.388.0336 M-F 8am-6pm, Sat 10am-2pm MST.

Writing Papers

Are you one of those students who struggles writing for your college classes? Or one of those who procrastinates to the end, and then needs lots of assistance to meet the deadline? Well, there is an option available for you. You can seek the assistance of a writing service to help you research and prepare your paper.

Now it is always possible for the student to go to a paper service to buy essay an online. Masterpapers is a respected service with over 500 freelance writers who will help you at whatever stage of the project you are at. They are well known for providing their services online, providing the solution to essay projects problems and even research papers. And being able to write a strong paper is important, because many courses now have research writing as part of their syllabus, and this is something difficult for a generation reared on television and various forms of musical devices

And yes, there are many online services now that sell essays or research papers, but I don’t recommend such services because they are noted for outright plagiarism. On the other hand, I think you need to visit the link for Masterpapers to see examples of all the types of essays they can do. And I do say “all the types” because at Masterpapers they do contrast and compare essay and many other varieties of papers.

Seeking Insurance?

I don’t know about you, but I view it as the responsibility of every person to take the time and make the effort to ensure that they and their families have health insurance. And while many Americans receive that insurance as a part of a benefit package through their employers, not everyone does. While it is possible to rely on the government programs to pay for your medical care if you have no other insurance, this is neither desirable nor ethical if one has other options – and there are any number of good plans available that are within the budget of most Americans.

If you don’t have health insurance, you really ought to check out what Kaiser Permanente has to offer at KPHealthPlans.com. And I’ll tell you right now that it doesn’t matter if you need a plan for an individual or are seeking family heath insurance. And if you are a business owner looking for an affordable group health insurance plan for your employees -- KPHealthPlans.com probably has something that will help get you (and your employees) decent insurance. In Georgia, for example, KPHealthPlans.com offers some of the lowest rates available, and has flexible and affordable plans that will go a long way in meeting your insurance goals. And this is important – after all, a serious illness without health insurance has truly frightening consequences. So take the responsible step and seek health insurance now.

Ambrosia Treatment Center

Too often, drug abuse happens in our society. So does alcoholism. We have all seen the toll it takes not just on the addict, but also on family, friends, and co-workers. But the impact is most pressing upon those who are addicted. They need the help of a drug rehab clinic to get the intoxicant of choice out of their system and to develop a sustainable, healthy way of life that does not continue in enslavement to the addiction that has come to dominate their lives.

In my opinion, one of the hardest things about the treatment is when the patient who came in for treatment is ready to relapse after discharge from the center. That is why it is so important that the drug rehab center see to it that each patient achieves total wellness, not just social healing but also by being healed mentally, spiritually, and physically. Healing the total 4 aspects of a person is what a family wants for their love one.

That is where a drug treatment facility like Ambrosia comes into the picture. It is important to get a loved one into a good rehabilitation that will focus on the whole person. A solid program with a proven track record of success is very important so that the loved one can get treatment for substance abuse and begin to rebuild his or her life.

Motorcycle Accident

More and more folks I know are riding motorcycles these days. I’ve got several colleagues at school who ride in on Harleys – and my principal has a really hot looking Japanese number.

But as fate would have it, one of the guys at school got creamed by a driver (fortunately not a student) on the way home one night, putting him out of commission for several weeks. You donÂ’t even want to think about the medical bills involved in that accident.

Fortunately, he found a good attorney to handle the suit that he filed against the driver, and he made a nice recovery for both his expenses, lost wages, and non-tangible damages.

And it is important to hire an attorney for such cases. The paperwork involved in a motorcycle accident can be a nightmare, and some insurance companies want to blame the biker, even if their insured was at fault. After all, for the insurance company it is all about their bottom line – so you need someone who will look out your interests.

And there is good reason to use a california motorcycle accident attorney who knows the laws regarding motorcycle accidents. You want a settlement that is fair – and it is far more likely that you will get a higher settlement with an experienced motorcycle accident lawyer who knows what to ask for. You may or may not be aware of all you are entitled to claim in a suit. Your lawyer is.

What Would You Take

Imagine that it’s the end of the world. No, not the end of the world as we know it, but the actual end of the world. You can make the cause anything you want – global warming, nuclear war, alien invasion, meteor impact, or what have you. If you could escape with only one thing, what would it be?

Now there are lots of possibilities. IÂ’ll leave out other people, because they really arenÂ’t things. And while the scholarly side of me might want to take a book or a CD-ROM with an entire library of scholarly and religious texts, I think I would settle for something much more simple in the end.

Yeah, that’s right – my dog. Or at least a dog, if Apolitical Pooch weren’t able to accompany my Darling Democrat and I. After all, a dog is such an important source of love and companionship, as well as link to the very first creatures domesticated by humanity millennia ago – because it is believed that canines were the first animals that mankind brought into that special relationship at the dawn of time.

Now there is a neat new game out there, Tabula Rasa. IÂ’m not going to give you a long description, but it is about human beings fighting against an alien enemy, trying to preserve humanity and civilization. IÂ’ll let you check out the details. But its developer is going to be making a journey to the International Space Station soon, and he is taking with him some DNA samples and messages from human beings. You may even be one of those DNA samples, if you follow the instructions for entering the contest at Operation Immortality.

Operation Immortality: Leave your mark. Save Humanity.

Think about it – you could help preserve some small bit of humanity against the end of the world. That is serious stuff.

School Labeling

I’ll be honest – I don’t remember much from my first day of school. After all, I was enrolled in a pre-school program at age 4½, and that was some four decades ago. But what memories I do have are of a big building, a huge sandbox, and a pair of cute little girls named Sandy and Roxanne who became two of my best friends for the next couple of years until my family moved away.

Oh, yeah – I remember naptime, and my blanket. And I remember getting into a fight with one of the other guys over my blanket, which he thought was mine. I sure could have used a label on it so that there would have been a nametag to tell them apart – not that either of us boys could have read at that point anyway! Probably some Color labels would have been the way to go.

As a teacher today, I make use of a Dymo labeler quite frequently. I label my classroom set of books, my personal property around the room – even the shelving units that I have bought for my classroom, so that no one from the school will try to move them into another room over the summer. And there are lots of other great uses – file cabinet drawers and the files inside, storage boxes, student folders and notebooks – that I use my Dymo labeler for every year.

Car Air Conditioner Parts

Years ago, when I lived up north, I drove a car that had no air conditioning for about eight years. It was a 1987 Mercury Lynx, and was a great ride for all that it did get a little warm in the summer – but with the fan blowing and the windows down, I could stay reasonably cool most days of the year. More importantly to me, the heater blew like the furnaces of Hell itself, which was much more important on a whole lot of other days!

But eventually I needed air conditioning when I relocated about 250 miles further south, where the summers were not quite so temperate. The problem was that I couldn’t find the parts I needed to install a working AC unit – so I had to buy another.

I wish that http://www.discountacparts.com had existed back then. They have all the parts you need to install or repair your carÂ’s air conditioning unit. If you need an ac compressor, they probably have it for you, regardless of the make or model. So if you need a BMW ac compressor, they can get one for you. Ditto an Accua evaporator. Drop by their site and check out what they can do to keep you cool.
