AeroCare Air Ambulance Service

I never knew there was such a thing as air ambulance service when I was young. It never crossed my mind that such a service would be necessary. After all, I figured you went to the hospital and stayed until you got well -- or until you died.

And then family tragedy hit. My grandfather developed cancer, and it needed to be treated much more aggressively than it could in the town where he lived – but how do you transport a frail old man 300 miles?

And that is where an air ambulance service entered the picture. My uncle hooked up with a company that provided this critical medical transportation service. They got him from his hospital bed in a rural hospital to the local airport, and from there to a business airport just a few miles from the new hospital -- and then checked in. Total time from bed to bed? Only a little over four hours. They brought him home some months late, after the doctors declared further treatment futile – treating him with great dignity on what was to be one of his last days.

I hope you never need domestic or international air ambulance service. But if you do, consider AeroCare Air Ambulance Service, with its 24 hour service for emergency and non-emergency situations.

About Title Insurance

When you buy a new home it is of the utmost importance that you receive a clear title to the property that you have purchased. Unfortunately, there is always the possibility that there could be claims from the family or heirs of a previous owner, or maybe a lien on it by a contractor or creditor. For that matter, the IRS might have some claim due to unpaid taxes. That means that you could purchase the property and then suddenly discover that someone else has an ownership or security interest in it -- and that may make it impossible for you to sell or develop the property you bought.

That is the reason for title insurance. Title companies have already given you the assurance that there are no blemishes or blots on your title to the property – at least none that they can discover in the public records. The title insurance will then cover any undiscovered claims growing out of the unrecorded or overlooked circumstances that could threaten your investment.

After the purchase of title insurance, title insurance company protect you by defending your title in the face of subsequent claims, taking the matter to court if necessary. They also cover the cost of settling the claim if it proves to be a valid one. They are there to protect your title and help you maintain your possession of your property.

Cost Captain

Cost Captain is a great site for those of us in education. As a teacher, I need to be able to work both at home and at school. That means that I need to make sure that there is compatibility between the software at school and the software I run on my own computers. Of course, we all know that Microsoft Office 2007 (the standard in my school district) can be rather expensive to buy. However, as a teacher I have the option that makes the price go down significantly -- academic pricing. This allows me as a teacher (and also my students) to purchase the full version of the same software that we run at school with a steep discount.

CostCaptain.com offers Microsoft Office 2007 from $129, Vista Upgrade from $89 and many other 100% Authentic Microsoft products at academic discounts . All you have to do is provide proof that you are a student or teacher (and this includes homeschoolers) or a staff member at a library or research lab and you are eligible for the lower price. And CostCaptain.com doesn't only offer Microsoft software -- you can get many fine programs from Corel, Intuit, Adobe and other software companies. They even offer gift certificates!

Heat Your Home

WeÂ’ve recently gone through a cold snap here in Houston, reminding me of what it was like as a kid growing up where it really got cold every winter. Instead of bundling up and layering up, you warm up your entire home to create a comfortable environment to live in. Heating your home can make you feel much better, since you are preserved from the negative effects of the chilly weather outside. You can sit beside window and enjoy the beauty of the snow, warm inside with a cu of hot chocolate!

That is the joy of central heating, and I encourage you to seek out central heating installation to warm your home with the comforts it brings. You can control the amount of heat the system delivers around the house, and reducing or increasing the amount of the heat to meet your comfort level or budget. Or depending on the type of system you have, you may need boiler service to keep your home well heated..

The great thing about gas central heating is that it makes the entire room warm, not just one particular area. Central heating is really the best way to distribute the heat throughout the home. No matter where you are, central heating system will make you feel comfortable, whether you are sleeping, dining, reading or watching your favorite television shows.

Bedroom Furniture

One of these days my wife and I are going to purchase new bedroom furniture. WeÂ’ve been talking about it for some time, trying to figure out exactly what we want to get. Like IÂ’ve mentioned a number of times, I am already trying to come up with some sort of idea about exactly what sort of bed and furniture I want in the room. I mean, weÂ’ve had our starter furniture for a dozen years now, and it is well past time to make a change.

That is one of the reasons that I love the internet – I can start to give shape to my ideas of the perfect room just by looking around at what sort of furniture is available online. By visiting sites like Home-And-Bedroom.com, I can get some really great ideas about how to redecorate the bedroom. I can browse through their many collections of fashion bed groups and start to envision what the pieces will look line in my home. One of the best things about the site though, besides all the interior decorating ideas, are the prices on their furniture, whether we are talking about Headboards or complete fashion bed groups from manufacturers like Hillsdale Furniture. They are definitely affordable!

I can honestly say, Home-And-Bedroom.com has given me some great ideas that I will be coming back to as the process of redecorating slowly moves forward.

Clocks

I love clocks. In fact, I have always been fascinated by clocks and the telling of time. Perhaps that is related to my love of both the past (history) and the future (science fiction), which are areas that are so closely bound up with time..

Like most people, I've owned many clocks over the years. And to be honest, most of them have not been of high quality. My favorite, however, is the one given to me to mark my fifth anniversary with my school district. It is a Howard Miller alarm clock, and wakes me every morning for school. I absolutely love it because of its beauty and reliability. I'm still impressed by the quality, surprised that the district treated us all so well that year. And in return, I treat my clock well. I plan on keeping for as long as it keeps running, which I expect to be a very long time.

Now I knew nothing about Howard Miller clocks when I opened the presentation box at dinner that night, but my wife was quite impressed. I've since learned that Howard Miller clocks are considered to be among the best in the world -- especially the Howard Miller grandfather clocks.

My wife and I are talking about redecorating, we are trying to make sure that we have a clock in the living room that will aid in setting the tone for the space and keep with the Old West/ranch house theme. Personally, I'm rather fond of this wall clock.

Coupon Savings

There are days I really struggle at the grocery store. Those groceries always seems to cost more than I was expecting when I went in – and prices always seems to be going up. As the main shopper in the family, I take notice in a way that many other men don’t. I know that I might be able to save a little bit more by driving an extra couple of miles over to the SuperCenter, I prefer going to the grocery store that is only three minutes from my house. It is less of a hassle than fighting the traffic and the lines in that other place.

IÂ’ve begun to try to use more coupons when I shop, but I find it to be a waste of time to wade through the coupon section of the paper to find just the right ones. That is just inefficient. But those grocery coupons could help me save if I could zero in on just the right ones, the ones I wanted. IÂ’ve found some good printable grocery coupons at MySavings.com. Not only can I find the free online coupons I need for food at the grocery store, But I can also get internet coupon codes and free stuff there as well, extending my savings beyond the grocery store and onto the internet and into the mailbox.

And letÂ’s be honest here, folks, there are some really great bargains to be had at MySavings.com. For example, just a look at the front page led me to offers for samples of free cologne, diapers, and gardening supplies. A look inside found coupons for many of the products I buy every week, including peanut butter, cereal, and other staples. And best of all, the only thing I needed to do was click and print the ones that I wanted.

Interested in traveling to Boston? If you are, you really will want to check out Trusted Tours and Attractions. They have some of the best deals for traveling there, including a number of Boston tours that would suit most anyoneÂ’s idea of a vacation. Frankly, I wish I had known about them a few years ago when my wife and I made a trip there for a getaway weekend. We would have done more in a more coherent fashion than we accomplished in our time there.

One of their popular sightseeing tours there is the Ghosts and Gravestones Tour. Imagine creeping through the oldest burying grounds of the famous and infamous in Boston. You’ll hear the stories of alleged ghosts and incredible characters that “come alive” in Boston history and culture.

There are, of course, other Boston tours, including the cruise of the Historic Boston Harbor, the Salem Witch Museum, BostonÂ’s lighthouses and even some of the most authentic dining you can find in the city.

Of course, the tours are not the only thing you can arrange with Trusted Travel, nor is Boston their only city. They donÂ’t have tours of all the attractions, just the best and most popular. They can recommend other attractions for you. But for their tours, you can book your vacation on their website very easily.

By the way, they are running a contest right now. When you sign up for the Trusted Travel eNewsletter, you are automatically entered to win a handheld GPS. So what are you waiting for? Get on over there and sign up for the newsletter and the great prize!

Northern Gas Heating

I’ve got to be honest – though I miss many things about winter living down here in Houston, I don’t miss the extended cold or the heating bills that come with it. I mean seriously, I remember those months when the heater ran more or less continuously. And then there is the money spent servicing your heating system each year, just to keep it running so you can stay warm for those three or four months of cold.

When you install central heating, you need to be sure that you get the very best. Among the many companies, you probably want to consider want to consider northerngasheating.com. They have many different products for you to consider for heating your home, including combi boilers. And while some heating system are ugly, space –eating eyesores, they have some systems that are attractive and fit in relatively small spaces easily. With these slim boilers, you can even gain yourself some free space.

On the other hand, you may just want to keep your existing boiler. You simply need to make sure you are getting it checked regularly? And if you are not an expert in the do-it-yourself field, you need to make sure that you have competent technicians to do your boiler servicing for you.

Logo Design Software

I recently found got a great Logo Design software package. LogoCreator 5.0 from Laughingbird Software available at http://www.thelogocreator.com, and enjoyed using it for various purposes.

What do I like about the software? To be honest, almost everything I can think of. First, it comes configured in a variety of ways to meet customer needs, so there is no need to spend money on components you donÂ’t want or need. If you are only interested in creating a business-like corporate logo, you could purchase the Corporate Edition and be quite very happy with its 80 pre-designed templates. You can also get the Travel-and-Leisure edition, the Entertainment edition, the Sports Pak, the Spiritual Edition or Real Estate edition, depending upon your needs and interests. There is even a mascot creator package, which is interesting to work with. Their best value is found in the Mega Pack, which includes everything. ThatÂ’s what IÂ’ve been working with, and IÂ’ve been quite pleased.

If you run a business, this software presents an incredible value. Getting a professionally designed logo can really cost you a lot of money – but for a fraction of the cost, you can design your own and have a logo (or mascot) and save on the costs associated with outsourcing such a project..

Oh, and one other thing – customer support is great. I’ve needed to ask some questions, and have gotten quick, clear responses. That isn’t always the case today, giving one more reason to do business with Laughingbird Software.

Free Blackjack

These days you can do a great many things on the internet that were not possible even a few years ago. Playing online blackjack can be one of them! Now IÂ’m not a big gambler, but I am always interested to see what sort of activities are available to those interested in online gaming.

BlackJackClub.com is one of the sites that I have seen mentioned around the internet by other bloggers and on message boards. One of the great things about it is that you can play there even without a dime. You play just for fun (with no betting) in their flash casino black jack game. Free Blackjack is a fun diversion for those interested in a little entertainment, and a great way to learn the ins and outs of the games for those who have little experience gambling. You can, of course, play using real money if you feel an interest in taking that plunge.

I don’t know if I am ever going to get into online gambling for money -- especially since recent paternalistic laws in the US and Canada require sites like this one to reject players from those countries. But I’d like to offer a piece of advice for those who do – have the discipline to stop when you reach your limit, and be prepared to seek help if you have a problem with your gambling.
