Cisco Certification

I am not a web designer/developer, but I do know that it is very important for such folks to keep up with the programming languages and trends in software and web design. And if you are an IT professional, keeping up with all the trainings and certifications that go with your chosen field is incredibly important and can have a positive impact upon your earning potential and the clients that you attract if you do (or negatively impact them if you donÂ’t).

IÂ’m told that Cisco certification is one of those things that will make you more valuable as a network professional. Expertise in Cisco makes will be a positive thing for the organization with which you are affiliated.

Now there are a variety of routes that that someone can take as part of an IT career, including Network Security, Routing and Switching, and Service Provider. Which you follow is entirely your preference. Once you select a path, you also can then pursue your expertise to one of three levels of general certification, ranging from Associate to Professional and Expert. You can also seek specialist certification in Security, IP Telephony, and Wireless. All three of these are much sought after by companies today, and such certification is likely to benefit you – and your employer -- financially.
