Police challenged a group of suspected militants Monday at a high school in northwestern Pakistan after hearing that they wanted to "motivate" students for holy war, sparking a gunbattle that left six people dead, police said.
Five militants and one police officer were killed in the shooting at the privately run Oxford Public School in Tank, a town about 60 miles from the Afghan border, said Javed Khan, a local police officer. It was unclear whether any students were hurt.Khan said the militants told the administrators of the boys' school to assemble the students so the militants could address them.
"They wanted to speak with the boys and motivate them for jihad," Khan said by telephone from Tank.
Looks like the Taliban want to turn every school into a terrorist-spawning madrassa.

A joint operation by Greek and US secret service officers in March 2003 led to the seizure of a large cache of explosives from the basement of the Iraqi Embassy in Athens, Kathimerini has learned.“Operation Net†was launched just before the American invasion of Iraq after US authorities claimed to have been tipped off about the presence of a weapons cache in the embassy in Neo Psychico, sources have revealed. The informer is believed to be an Iraqi with links to the embassy.
Sources said a raid on the embassy unearthed explosive materials, car bombs, detonators, several guns and dozens of rounds of ammunition. Much of the material was “ready to use†while some was too old to be of any value, according to sources who said all the material was destroyed within a few weeks of discovery.
US secret services could not determine why the weapons cache had been kept at the embassy, although the possibility that it had been destined for use in a terrorist attack during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games has been ruled out.

Al Qaeda in Iraq is using kidnapped children to pick up weapons dropped in battle zones, get past checkpoints and die in car bombs, according to U.S. officials and Iraqis in Baghdad."Al Qaeda is using children to pick up weapons and ammunition knowing that U.S. troops will not shoot against children," said one U.S. military official, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
There has also been a reported incident in which children were used to drive safely past a checkpoint in order to detonate a car closer to a target.
"Men traveling with children in the back of their cars rarely get searched because they look like a family," said Hassan, a middle-aged Shi'ite living in one of the capital's older mixed neighborhoods.
"Then they leave the car and blow it up by remote control with the children in it," he said. Hassan, who did not want his full name used out of fear of retaliation, said at one point last year children with Down syndrome had been used to carry bombs.
And in the past theyÂ’ve used animals to deliver deadly cargo.
Insurgents in Iraq attached explosives to a dog and tried to blow up a military convoy near the northern oil centre of Kirkuk. The canine bomb went off but the only casualty was the unfortunate animal, said police. The militants wrapped an explosive belt around the dog and detonated it as the convoy passed through Dakuk, 25 miles south of Kirkuk, said the town's police chief, Col Mohammed Barzaji.
"The dog was torn apart by the explosion which caused neither injury among the soldiers nor any damage."
I guess the terrorists donÂ’t have the courage to put themselves at risk, so they use kids and puppies instead. And yet they are the ones that Michael Moore, Sean Penn, and other moral midgets claim are freedom fighters and the equivalent of the Founding Fathers.

Insurgents detonated a bomb in a car carrying two children after using the children as decoys to get through a military checkpoint in Baghdad, an American general said Tuesday.Speaking at a news briefing at the Pentagon, Maj. Gen. Michael Barbaro, deputy director for regional operations at the PentagonÂ’s Joint Staff, said that American soldiers had stopped the car at the checkpoint but allowed it to pass after they seeing the two children in the back seat.
“Children in the back seat lower suspicion,” he said, according to a transcript. “We let it move through. They parked the vehicle. The adults run out and detonate it with the children in back.”
General Barbaro offered no further specifics about the incident.

Al-Aqsa TV, a station run by Hamas, aired an interview with the two young children of female Palestinian suicide bomber Rim al-Riyashi last week. The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) translated the interview and posted it on its website.During the TV segment, the interviewer gently asked the children to count the number of Jews murdered by their mother and asked them to recite "Mama Rim," most likely a poem written in honor of the woman's "martyrdom."
The interviewer began, "Let's talk with the two children of the jihad-fighting martyrdom-seeker Rim Al-Riyashi -- Dhoha and Muhammad. Dhoha, you love mama, right? Where did mama go?" he asked.
"To paradise," the little girl answered.
"What did mama do?" the interviewer asked her. "She committed martyrdom," the child replied.
"She killed Jews, right? How many Jews did mama kill?" the interviewer asked.
"This many," replied the suicide bomber's son, Muhammad, holding up his hand with five fingers outstretched.
Rim Al-Riyashi blew herself up in January 2004 at the Karni border crossing between Gaza and Israel, killing four Israelis. She was 22 at the time and the first female suicide bomber recruited by Hamas.
This is Exhibit A in the case that these people not only do not deserve a state, but that the Israelis have shown admirable restraint in not inflicting larger casualties on these barbarians.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, confessed to that attack and a string of others during a military hearing at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, according to a transcript released Wednesday by the Pentagon.Mohammed claimed responsibility for planning, financing, and training others for bombings ranging from the 1993 attack at the World Trade Center to the attempt by would-be shoe bomber Richard Reid to blow up a trans-Atlantic flight with explosives hidden in his shoes.
In all, Mohammed said he was responsible for planning 29 individual attacks, including many that were never executed. The comments were included in a 26-page transcript released by the Pentagon, which also blacked out some of his remarks.
he's an unlawful combatant who was involved in the intentional targeting and murder of American citizens. Speed him on his way to Hell by stringing him up with a rope dipped in bacon grease. He's gotten all the due process that he merits.

In his speech, Cheney chided lawmakers who are pressing for tougher action on Iran to oppose the president on the Iraq War."It is simply not consistent for anyone to demand aggressive action against the menace posed by the Iranian regime while at the same time acquiescing in a retreat from Iraq that would leave our worst enemies dramatically emboldened and Israel's best friend, the United States, dangerously weakened," he said.
Let's assume the absolute best about the Neo-Copperhead Democrats. Let's assume that, unlike their Democrat predecessors during the Lincoln Administration, that they are not actively seeking the defeat of American troops in the field, nor are they supportive of terrorism against the recently liberated as members of their party were for decades following the American victory the original Copperheads opposed. Let's assume, in short, that their motives are not based upon treasonous support for the enemies of America.
If one makes all those assumptions, the DemocratICK position is nonsensical, for it calls for weakening the US militarily, diplomatically, and politically while at the same time demanding that we be prepared to deal with a different threat. It calls for leaving the enemy alone and negotiating with a nation that has acted against American interests for thirty years, both directly and through surrogates, while being prepared for "tough action" against that same nation. Those positions are antithetical to one another -- and prepare us for Munich-like "peace in our times" proclamation while that enemy continues to prepare to act against us. In other words, at best, the DemocratICK position is dangerous and wrong-headed.
UPDATE: Even the Washington Post, no hotbed of reactionary neo-conservatism, thinks the DemocratICK plans are stupid

A House Democrat has arranged for a conference room in the Capitol building to be used tomorrow by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim advocacy group criticized for its persistent refusal to disavow terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah. The District-based group also is singled out by other Democratic lawmakers and some law-enforcement officials because of financial ties to terrorists.
Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., New Jersey Democrat, reserved the basement conference room for CAIR's panel discussion Tuesday titled "Global Attitudes on Islam-West Relations: U.S. Policy Implications."
"We just see it as a simple room request," Pascrell spokesman Caley Gray said. "We did receive a room request and evaluated it and approved it."
He said the forum "opens up an important dialogue about global public opinion concerning the United States."
Still, the event's sponsor raised eyebrows on Capitol Hill, even if all sorts of groups routinely hold receptions and meetings in the Capitol.
"It does happen all the time but usually it is the United Way or some constituent group or Mothers Against Drunk Driving, not a group with supposed ties to terrorism -- in the Capitol no less," a Hill staffer said.
Mind you, this is a group that denounced and tried to disrupt
More the recent Secular Islam Summit and its participants. In the process, they rejected this statement of principles, the St. Peteresbrg Declaration -- which one can only presume lacks legitimacy among Muslims as much as the signers do.. I've highlighted some of the more outrageous illegitimate positions.
We are secular Muslims, and secular persons of Muslim societies. We are believers, doubters, and unbelievers, brought together by a great struggle, not between the West and Islam, but between the free and the unfree. We affirm the inviolable freedom of the individual conscience. We believe in the equality of all human persons.
We insist upon the separation of religion from state and the observance of universal human rights.
We find traditions of liberty, rationality, and tolerance in the rich histories of pre-Islamic and Islamic societies. These values do not belong to the West or the East; they are the common moral heritage of humankind.
We see no colonialism, racism, or so-called “Islamaphobia” in submitting Islamic practices to criticism or condemnation when they violate human reason or rights.
We call on the governments of the world to
* reject Sharia law, fatwa courts, clerical rule, and state-sanctioned religion in all their forms; oppose all penalties for blasphemy and apostacy, in accordance with Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human rights;
* eliminate practices, such as female circumcision, honor killing, forced veiling, and forced marriage, that further the oppression of women;
* protect sexual and gender minorities from persecution and violence;
* reform sectarian education that teaches intolerance and bigotry towards non-Muslims;
* and foster an open public sphere in which all matters may be discussed without coercion or intimidation.
We demand the release of Islam from its captivity to the totalitarian ambitions of power-hungry men and the rigid strictures of orthodoxy.
We enjoin academics and thinkers everywhere to embark on a fearless examination of the origins and sources of Islam, and to promulgate the ideals of free scientific and spiritual inquiry through cross-cultural translation, publishing, and the mass media.
We say to Muslim believers: there is a noble future for Islam as a personal faith, not a political doctrine;
to Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, BahaÂ’is, and all members of non-Muslim faith communities: we stand with you as free and equal citizens;
and to nonbelievers: we defend your unqualified liberty to question and dissent.
Before any of us is a member of the Umma, the Body of Christ, or the Chosen People, we are all members of the community of conscience, the people who must chose for themselves.
Yeah, that's right -- a group opposed to these principles will be using the US Capitol to further disseminate its hatred and bigotry. What next -- will Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. be reserving rooms for the KKK and American Nazi Party, if they make a "simple room request"?

Hundreds of U.S. soldiers entered the Shiite stronghold of Sadr City on Sunday in the first major push into the area since an American-led security sweep began last month around Baghdad.Meanwhile, the U.S. military announced three deaths on Sunday.
Soldiers conducted house-to-house searches through the densely populated grid of squat two- and three-story buildings, but met no resistance in a district firmly in the hands of the Mahdi Army militia led by the radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, said Lt. Col. David Oclander.
The only problem I see with this move is that political correctness kept it from happening a couple of years ago. Here's hoping they take out the "big cheese" while they are at it.

An Eta prisoner on hunger strike has ripped out his feeding tube, sparking fears that he is close to death after 112 days without eating. The Spanish prison service said that Iñaki de Juana Chaos, the Basque separatist leader convicted of killing 25 people, mainly soldiers and policemen, in the 1980s, had received no nutrients since Friday. A lawyer who spoke to de Juana said that he had pulled out the tube keeping him alive, apparently furious with media reports that he had abandoned his protest.
The case has exposed the deep divisions within Spain and placed the Socialist Government in an excruciating dilemma. More than 75,000 people rallied in Madrid on Saturday, calling on the Government not to free de Juana despite a recent Supreme Court judgment making him eligible for parole.
The only tragedy here is that the Spanish government didnÂ’t send this mutt to Hell years ago, due to Euro-weenie opposition to the death penalty. Let him get there of his own accord, the sooner the better.

The Islamic Jihad vowed on Wednesday to avenge the death of the group's leader in Jenin, who was reportedly behind a planned suicide attack in Tel Aviv that was thwarted by police on Tuesday."The Zionist enemy's crimes and killing will not affect our resistance program and God willing today's crime will not pass without revenge and revenge will be soon," the group said.
Mahmoud Abu Abait, 24, was traveling in a car in the center of Jenin when undercover IDF soldiers shot and killed him, the witnesses said.
An Israeli combat helicopter was seen in the area at the time, they said.
According to Army Radio, defense sources said the would-be bomber who was arrested in Tel Aviv on Tuesday evening admitted during his interrogation that Abait was the one who had sent him on the mission and supplied him with the homemade explosives he was carrying.
On Tuesday, Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the bombing attempt. The bomber was from the Jenin area.
Overnight Tuesday, IDF troops also arrested three more wanted Islamic Jihad operatives during the Jenin operation. They also arrested a Hamas member in Hebron.
Too bad our own Congress lacks this sort of resolve to hunt down and stop terrorists wherever they may be found.
Remember -- happiness is a dead jihadi.

A divided federal appeals court on Tuesday upheld a new law stripping federal judges of authority to review foreign prisoners’ challenges to their detention at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. The decision set the stage for a third trip to the Supreme Court for the detainees, who will once again ask the justices to consider a complex issue that tests the balance of power among the White House, Congress and the courts in the murky context of the fight against international terrorism.
It also prompted some senior Democratic lawmakers, who have fought the Bush administration on the matter before and who now hold sway in Congress, to vow enactment of a law more favorable to the prisoners.
Question -- do the Democrats rewrite the law to give terrorists more rights? Or do they recognize that there is a war on, one not of our choosing which will end with either our victory or our destruction?
Great analysis over at SCOTUSblog.

His family claimed that the attack was caused by his business losses -- but now admits that the Palestinian Authority crafted that as a cover story and helped them feed the lie to the media.
Ali Abu Kamal's relatives say they are tired of lying about why the Palestinian opened fire on the observation deck of Empire State Building, killing a tourist and injuring six other people before committing suicide.Kamal's widow insisted after the shooting spree that the attack was not politically motivated. She said that her husband had become suicidal after losing $300,000 in a business venture.
But in a stunning admission, Kamal's 48-year-old daughter Linda told the Daily News that her dad wanted to punish the U.S. for supporting Israel - and revealed her mom's 1997 account was a cover story crafted by the Palestinian Authority.
"A Palestinian Authority official advised us to say the attack was not for political reasons because that would harm the peace agreement with Israel," she told The News on Friday. "We didn't know that he was martyred for patriotic motivations, so we repeated what we were told to do."
But three days after the shootings, Kamal's family got a copy of a letter that was found on his body, they said. The letter said he planned the violence as a political statement, his daughter said.
Interestingly enough, there does not seem to be any remorse or anquish on this woman's part over her father's terrorist actions, even a decade later. She refers to her father's motives in seeking o kill innocents for political reasons as "patriotic", not terroristic.
Oh, by the way, the daughter works for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, carrying on daddy's agenda for the destruction of Israel and all who support her.
One more reason to get America out of that terrorist-supporting organization, and get that terrorist-supporting organization out of America.

Sami Al-Arian, the former University of South Florida professor sentenced to prison for providing assistance to a terrorist group, collapsed Wednesday in a Virginia prison on the 23rd day of a hunger strike.
He was taken to a North Carolina medical facility. He began his hunger strike after learning his sentence may be extended by up to 18 months for refusing to testify before a Virginia grand jury. His attorneys say an earlier plea agreement freed him from further cooperation with the government.
Ahmed Bedier, executive director of the Tampa Chapter of the Council of Islamic Relations, said Al-Arian's family is concerned about his health but knows he wants to make a statement about his "unjust treatment."
"His freedom is more important to him than his health," Bedier said.
One more month of this, and the world will be a cleaner place. And even better, this purification will be accomplished without the scumbag taking any innocent human lives.

The leader of al-Qaida in Iraq was wounded and an aide was killed in a clash Thursday with Iraqi forces north of Baghdad, the Interior Ministry spokesman said. The clash occurred near Balad, a major U.S. base about 50 miles north of the capital, Brig. Gen Abdul-Karim Khalaf said.
Khalaf said al-Qaida in Iraq leader Abu Ayyub al-Masri was wounded and his aide, identified as Abu Abdullah al-Majemaai, was killed.
Most rational people would see this sort of report as a reason to stay the course. Copperhead Democrats see this as a reason to cut-and-run.

Austrian sniper rifles that were exported to Iran have been discovered in the hands of Iraqi terrorists, The Daily Telegraph has learned.More than 100 of the.50 calibre weapons, capable of penetrating body armour, have been discovered by American troops during raids.
The guns were part of a shipment of 800 rifles that the Austrian company, Steyr-Mannlicher, exported legally to Iran last year.
The sale was condemned in Washington and London because officials were worried that the weapons would be used by insurgents against British and American troops.
Within 45 days of the first HS50 Steyr Mannlicher rifles arriving in Iran, an American officer in an armoured vehicle was shot dead by an Iraqi insurgent using the weapon.
Over the last six months American forces have found small caches of the £10,000 rifles but in the last 24 hours a raid in Baghdad brought the total to more than 100, US defence sources reported.
Those who complain that President Bush is looking for an excuse to go to war with Iran are ignoring one basic “fact on the ground†– Iran is already acting as a belligerent against the United States. Any military action in this case would simply be an acknowledgement of that reality.

PREACHER of hate Abu Izzadeen has called on all Muslims serving in the Army to be killed. In a vile sermon delivered at a mosque he rages against Muslims that work for the Government — and says they should be beheaded.
A recording of the rant has emerged just days after police uncovered a terrorist plot to kidnap and murder a 20-year-old British Muslim serving in the Army.
On the recording uncovered by ITN News, Izzadeen, 30, shouts: “Whoever allies himself with the Kaffirs (non-believers) against the believers — he is one of them.
“Remember the British Government, my dear Muslim brothers, are crusaders — crusaders come to kill and rape Muslims.
“Whoever joins them — he who joins the British Army, he who joins the American army he is a mortal Kaffir.
“And his only hukum (punishment) is for his head to be removed. Indeed whoever changes his deen (Muslim code of life) kill him.â€
There is a cancer at work within Islam. It is up to the many decent Muslims in this world to either denounce such rhetoric and excise such extremists from their community, lest that their silence renders them indistinguishable from the radicals who spread such messages of hate and promote acts of terror, rather than decent, virtuous folks like these.

A man sentenced to death in Kuwait for the 1983 bombings of the U.S. and French embassies now sits in Iraq's parliament as a member of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki's ruling coalition, according to U.S. military intelligence.
Jamal Jafaar Mohammed's seat in parliament gives him immunity from prosecution. Washington says he supports Shiite insurgents and acts as an Iranian agent in Iraq.U.S. military intelligence in Iraq has approached al-Maliki's government with the allegations against Jamal Jafaar Mohammed, whom it says assists Iranian special forces in Iraq as "a conduit for weapons and political influence."
Repeated efforts by CNN to reach Jamal Jafaar Mohammed for comment through the parliament, through the ruling Shiite Muslim coalition and the Badr Organization -- the Iranian-backed paramilitary organization he once led -- have been unsuccessful.A Kuwaiti court sentenced Jamal Jafaar Mohammed to death in 1984 in the car bombings of the U.S. and French embassies the previous December. Five people died in the attacks and 86 were wounded.
We know who he is. We know where to find him. We need to take action.
No quarter for terrorists. Period.

EVIL Muslim terrorists were to kidnap a British soldier on UK streets and force him to plead with Tony Blair for his life in return for a pull-out of troops from Iraq, The Sun can reveal.
The soldier would have been filmed begging the PM to withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan in a sick propaganda stunt.
Army sources said the target was a British Muslim soldier in his 20s.
He would eventually be beheaded on film in a sick mirror of the torture and savage killing of British hostage Ken Bigley if Mr Blair refused.
Senior security sources say the plot would have put the most unbearable blackmail pressure on the Premier to act.
It would also have sent shockwaves through the entire British Armed Forces - putting the fear of God into every man and woman in uniform on or off duty.
The fact that the arrests were made in Birmingham could suggest that soldiers recovering from wounds in military hospitals there might have been targeted.
So – will the terror-supporting auxiliaries of the anti-war movement consider condemning this planned atrocity? Or is this simply one more instance that we have to understand the feelings and grievances of the swine who seek to perpetrate such acts?

The mother of Muhammad Faisal Saksak, the 21-year-old suicide bomber who carried out Monday's attack in Eilat, said she was aware of her son's plan to blow himself up and that she had wished him "good luck."Dozens of Palestinians, chanting slogans against Israel and the US, converged on the family's home to "congratulate" them on the success of the attack.
A celebration over the intentional, planned, premeditated murder of random innocents – clearly these people are neither civilized nor desirous of peace.

IMAGINE THAT on 9/11, six hours after the assault on the twin towers and the Pentagon, terrorists had carried out a second wave of attacks on the United States, taking an additional 3,000 lives. Imagine that six hours after that, there had been yet another wave. Now imagine that the attacks had continued, every six hours, for another four years, until nearly 20 million Americans were dead. This is roughly what the Soviet Union suffered during World War II, and contemplating these numbers may help put in perspective what the United States has so far experienced during the war against terrorism. It also raises several questions. Has the American reaction to the attacks in fact been a massive overreaction? Is the widespread belief that 9/11 plunged us into one of the deadliest struggles of our time simply wrong? If we did overreact, why did we do so? Does history provide any insight?
Certainly, if we look at nothing but our enemies' objectives, it is hard to see any indication of an overreaction. The people who attacked us in 2001 are indeed hate-filled fanatics who would like nothing better than to destroy this country. But desire is not the same thing as capacity, and although Islamist extremists can certainly do huge amounts of harm around the world, it is quite different to suggest that they can threaten the existence of the United States.
Yet a great many Americans, particularly on the right, have failed to make this distinction. For them, the "Islamo-fascist" enemy has inherited not just Adolf Hitler's implacable hatreds but his capacity to destroy. The conservative author Norman Podhoretz has gone so far as to say that we are fighting World War IV (No. III being the Cold War).
I'm utterly speechless that an educated many would write this, or that an American publication would print this.
But then again, Bell is a college professor.
And the newspaper is the LA Times.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised at all.

A suicide bomber has blown himself up in a bakery in IsraelÂ’s Red Sea resort of Eilat, killing three people in the first such attack inside the Jewish state in nine months.
Notice that the target was a bakery, not a military installation, and it is clear that the bomb was intended to hit civilians – though there is an indication that a larger civilian target may have been intended.
It had been nine months since such an attack had been carried out – a record of safety that can be attributed to the success of Israel in fencing out the terrorists. You know, the fence Carter decries in his book as oppressive.
No doubt the anti-Semitic former president will agree with this statement from the Terrorstinian AnarchyÂ’s ruling Hamas movement, which is couched in language similar to his book.
"The Eilat operation is a natural response to the occupier's crimes against our people amid continued blockades, incursions, assassinations and arrests in the West Bank and Gaza Strip," said Hamas spokesman Ismail Radwan."It is the Zionist enemy who is responsible for the deteriorating situation among the Palestinians. The resistance is entitled to defend the Palestinian people.”
Israel has made further steps towards peace with the Terrorstinians in recent weeks – which have obviously been seen as a sign of weakness and resulted in this deadly assault.

Islamic Jihad militants launched homemade rockets into Israel from the Gaza Strip on Sunday in retaliation for Israel's continuing military operations against their group in the West Bank. The rocket attacks came despite a two-month-old cease-fire between Israel and the Palestinians in Gaza.
The group said it fired seven homemade rockets toward the Israeli towns of Sderot and Ashkelon. The Israeli army said several mortar shells had landed in empty areas in Israel on Sunday morning, causing no injuries.
How long is Israel expected to restrain itself before it takes the sort of actions permitted any other country when repeatedly attacked by terrorists?

A British-born terror suspect was on the run last night after breaking his control order and evading police by taking shelter in a mosque. The man, aged 26, is thought to have escaped abroad after claiming that he wanted to undertake terror training in Afghanistan.
* * * The man, who is of Pakistani origin and lives in Manchester, was only placed under the control order this month. But within four days he disappeared. Police sources say that the man failed to show up at a local police station to surrender his passport. He was traced to a nearby mosque, where community leaders say he had sought sanctuary. Police rarely enter a mosque: they began discussions with both local community figures and leading officials connected to the mosque.
It is understood that while these talks were taking place, the young suspect was helped to escape through a back entrance while officers from Greater Manchester Police were stationed outside.Whitehall officials said it is not known whether the person inside the mosque who helped this suspect escape knew that he was under a control order.
In other words, “sanctuary” in a mosque is really a code for giving suspects a safe place to hide and plot their escape with the cooperation of the religious authorities at the mosque while they are ostensibly negotiating with the police.
The time has come to forget special concern for the religious sensitivities of the religion that has spawned the jihadis. While I know that most Muslims are good and decent people, police need to be willing to kick down the doors and search for jihadis using Muslim institutions to fund, aid and abet terrorist activity. This is, after all, a war for survival – and one that was chosen and instigated by the jihadis, not by us.

Are you aware of the al Qaeda plot to assassinate President Bush that was uncovered in 2005? Did you know that jihad terrorists in the U.S. financed the 1993 World Trade Center bombing partially through the sale of counterfeit T-shirts? Did you know that a professor at the University of South Florida in the 1990s was one of the international leaders of the terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad and that he used his university activities as a cover while he raised money, gained recruits and disseminated propaganda for the jihad group? Had you heard that in May 2003, an American citizen living in Ohio pled guilty to conducting surveillance of the Brooklyn Bridge and other potential targets for al Qaeda? These were not isolated incidents. In fact, they are just a few of the known activities of a huge jihad network that still operates in the United States, but of which few Americans are aware. That lack of awareness, however, is not because the information is unavailable: Steven Emerson’s “Jihad Incorporated: A Guide to Militant Islam in the U.S.†tears the cover off this American jihad network. It is a comprehensive summation of what is known about the activities of al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other jihad groups within the United States. Although the tone of this book is sober and straightforward throughout, the cumulative effect is startling: The extent to which these jihad groups have penetrated American society is likely to come as a surprise even to relatively informed readers.
How active are the jihadis in this country? How extensive is their network. I think this is good information for every American to have – and that the apologists for terror will try to keep out or our hands by any means necessary.

Suspected leftist guerrillas fired a rocket at the U.S. embassy in Athens on Friday but no one was hurt in the blast, police and government officials said.In the most serious attack against the mission in 10 years, the small rocket launched from across the street shattered windows and woke up nearby residents in the central Athens area at 5:58 AM (0358 GMT).
"There are one or two anonymous phone calls which claim that the Revolutionary Struggle was behind the attack," Public Order Minister Byron Polydoras told reporters outside the embassy. "Most likely, it is an act by local perpetrators."
The leftist guerrilla group has emerged as the most serious domestic threat since the dismantling of the deadly November 17 group in 2002. It claimed an assassination attempt against Greece's culture minister in May and a bomb at the Economy Ministry which wounded two people and damaged buildings 13 months ago.
Greece has a history of terrorist activity occurring within its borders, but a good record of bringing the perps down. It will be interesting to see how the story develops.

SHEIK Taj Din al-Hilali has ridiculed his adopted country on Egyptian television, dismissing the furore over his insults to women and defence of gang rapists while claiming Muslims had more right to live in Australia than the descendants of convicts. The latest outburst by Australia's chief Muslim cleric came during an interview as he enjoyed what was meant to be a self-imposed exile in the Middle East to duck the national outrage he sparked late last year.
But rather than douse the controversy, which divided Muslim Australia and further strained relations with the broader community, the imam of Sydney's Lakemba Mosque has inflamed it.
"The Western people are the biggest liars and oppressors and especially the English race," the Mufti of Australia said in Arabic during the extensive interview in Eqypt, his birthplace. "The Anglo-Saxons who arrived in Australia arrived in shackles. We paid for passports from our own pockets. We have a right in Australia more than they have."
Remember -- this is the same guy who said rape victims were pieces of meat who deserved to be assaulted by innocent Muslim boys who they tempted by dressing immodestly. Indeed, he compared them to pieces of meat left out where they could be consumed by animals.
Of course I doubt there will be any serious criticism of the latest round of comments, because it is really reflective of the history of Islam as a whole -- one in which Muslims seek and impose a regime under which they have greater rights than followers of any other religion wherever they go, reducing native populations to dhimmi status.

Rep. Keith Ellison has been named to the House Judiciary Committee, a panel that has oversight over issues such as civil liberties, immigration and courts. In a prepared statement, Ellison, D-Minn., called the selection an honor and privilege.
"I look forward to pursuing a progressive agenda in the committee, including the restoration of American citizen's civil liberties that have come under increasing attack over the past six years," said Ellison, the first Muslim member of Congress.
Ellison, a freshman lawmaker, said this week he'd like to see a ban on racial profiling, an issue that could come up in the Judiciary Committee.
Notice that phrase -- "progressive action". That means "regressive action" to the pre-9/11 status quo when it comes to detecting and preventing terrorist activity.
It also seems to me that Ellison is a liar in that there has been no attack on civil liberties in this country, and that there is nothing that needs be restored.
On the other hand, he is more than willing to help his fellow Muslims escape detection when they try to engage in terrorist acts.
What a guy – brought to you by the Democrat Party.

The suspected al-Qaeda militant who planned the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in east Africa was killed in an American airstrike in Somalia, an official said Wednesday."I have received a report from the American side chronicling the targets and list of damage," Abdirizak Hassan, the Somali president's chief of staff, told The Associated Press. "One of the items they were claiming was that Fazul Abdullah Mohammed is dead." ...
Mohammed allegedly planned the attacks on the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania that killed 225 people.
He is also suspected of planning the car bombing of a beach resort in Kenya and the near simultaneous attempt to shoot down an Israeli airliner in 2002. Ten Kenyans and three Israelis were killed in the blast at the hotel, 12 miles north of Mombasa. The missiles missed the airliner.
Which may, of course, explain these responses from the unAmerican Left.
First at TalkLeft.
...do we just believe we can go anywhere in the world and kill people because they might be al-Qaida followers?
Hell yes – and we need to do it more often and better. After all, terrorists are hostis humani generis -- the enemies of all mankind. Kill them where ever and when ever we can find them.
And then, of course, from the moonbats over at Kos.
The notion that we have any idea of whatever structure something called "al Qaeda" may have, sufficient to be able to ID who's in charge of what, is laughable. The idea that some notional "our man in Modagishu", ever alert for these key al Qaeda operatives that our expertise has identified, and probably circulates packs of playing cards with their pictures, spotted our intended target and dogged his footsteps to the Kenyan border to call in this airstrike, is ludicrous. I doubt that even the con men in charge of the whole operation believe that they have any idea who or what may have been at ground zero of those smoking holes. The only thing one can be confident of from this report, is that there would be no report were there not a need for some positive news of progress in the GWOT on the eve of Our Leader's inspiring speech outlining the Glorious Way Forward. Onward, to ever more and larger smoking holes, in ever more countries! The brown people will get the message sooner or later.
* * * I have been a keen observer of the US political scene my entire adult life, and I wouldn't have any idea who in the Republican political machine to send the AC-130s after, or any confidence that knocking off any or all of them would improve the world, despite an utter confidence that they have fucked up the world mightily.
Yep, that’s right – al-Qaeda is morally superior to the GOP, and there are so many of us that are appropriate targets that this asshat wouldn’t know which of us to kill first. And sadly, such comments are typical of the latter day left in this country – who interestingly enough, seem blissfully unconcerned about the fact that most of the victims of this jihadi scumbag were, to use the words of the KOSsack, “brown people”, and that the US served up justice on their behalf as well as that of our own country.
At what point does what passes for “liberalism” today become aid and comfort to the enemy?

A U.S. Air Force gunship has conducted a strike against suspected members of al Qaeda in Somalia, CBS News national security correspondent David Martin reports exclusively. The targets included the senior al Qaeda leader in East Africa and an al Qaeda operative wanted for his involvement in the 1998 bombings of two American embassies in Africa, Martin reports. Those terror attacks killed more than 200 people.
The AC-130 gunship is capable of firing thousands of rounds per second, and sources say a lot of bodies were seen on the ground after the strike, but there is as yet, no confirmation of the identities.
The gunship flew from its base in Dijibouti down to the southern tip of Somalia, Martin reports, where the al Qaeda operatives had fled after being chased out of the capital of Mogadishu by Ethiopian troops backed by the United States.
This is good news, and a reminder of why we fight in Iraq and Afghanistan.
And besides, as we say down here in Texas -- some folks just need killing.

Last June, Hadass and Emunah were standing on the side of Highway 60 at the Rechelim junction near Shilo, Israel, waiting for a southbound ride to take them toward Jerusalem. While they awaited their ride, three conservative, Wahhabi-type, radical Muslims stopped and attempted to kidnap the two girls.Providentially - I employ the word deliberately here - an IDF officer happened to come along at that time. The officer interfered in the kidnapping, radioing for backup. The conservative, Wahhabi-type, radical Muslims left the scene in a big hurry, but were caught a short distance away without incident when local law enforcement personnel erected a few strategically-placed road blocks.
Investigators later learned that graves had already been dug by the conservative, Wahhabi-type, radical Muslim terrorists to contain the bodies of the two girls. After treatment at a Jerusalem hospital, the two young ladies are back with their friends at school.
Now they want justice. But during the intervening months that have elapsed since the attempted kidnapping last year, all weapons-trading charges have been dropped against the three conservative, Wahhabi-type, radical Muslim terrorists, along with accusations that they were involved in assisting in conservative, Wahhabi-type, radical Muslim terrorism. Only the attempted kidnapping charges remain.
So Haddass has spoken out, demanding justice.
Please remember all the preparations that went into this crime - the daring, the instructions, the way they obtained weapons, rented a car, recruited people, and they even dug a grave! They dug a grave for my friend Emunah and me - everything was ready! And so they set out. There were a few problems: one of the men quit, the car broke down, but they were determined to murder. They passed by the bus stop where we were sitting, Emunah and I, and then they decided that we were good targets for being murdered.
Why? Because we are weak and can't protect ourselves; they are contemptible murderers who seek out the weak....
So they made two U-turns and came to us. They just didn't realize that G-d loves us.... Does anyone here think that after they serve their punishment, they will be good people? Not at all; they will try to murder again.
My uncle, Kobi Zaga, may G-d avenge his blood, was murdered on a Sabbath night two and a half years ago by a murderer who had been released just two days earlier from Israeli prison. He couldn't hold himself back! These terrorists are murderers, and whoever releases them are their partners in murder....
There is no moral basis for supporting terrorist murderers -- nor is there a moral basis for ever allowing them the opportunity to return to civilized society where they can victimize more innocents. Let the words of young Hadass be a rminder to you of that fact -- and a warning of what could come to this country if we don't remain vigilant, steadfast and resolute in the War on Terror.

A Muslim leader from Ohio who was convicted of lying about his involvement with a group the U.S. government designated a terrorist organization has been deported to his native Palestinian territories, immigration authorities said Friday.Fawaz Damra, 46, was convicted in June 2004 of concealing his ties to Palestinian Islamic Jihad when he applied for U.S. citizenship in 1994.
Damra, who served as imam at one of the Cleveland's largest mosques, was deported on Thursday, said Tim Counts, spokesman for the U.S. Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Earlier, Damra had agreed to be deported to Qatar.
He ought to be headed to Gitmo instead. HereÂ’s hoping the Israelis keep close tabs on him.

Former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, sentenced to death for his role in 148 killings in 1982, will have his sentence carried out by Sunday, NBC News reported Thursday. According to a U.S. military officer who spoke on condition of anonymity, Saddam will be hanged before the start of the Eid religious holiday, which begins at sundown Saturday. The hanging could take place as early as Friday, NBCÂ’s Richard Engel reported.
The U.S. military received a formal request from the Iraqi government to transfer Saddam to Iraqi authorities, NBC reported on Thursday, which is one of the final steps required before his execution. His sentence, handed down last month, ordered that he be hanged within 30 days.
Some international leaders (and grievance polemicists) are outraged that the dictator might actually pay for his crimes and be executed by the Iraqi people he oppressed. And as I suggested some weeks back, the NY Times seems prepared to deck itself out in black to mourn the untimely execution of this murderous goon.
I am, however, disappointed about one aspect of this execution -- I had been hoping that Saddam would take a long drop on a short rope as the clock rang in 2007 -- sort of an Iraqi equivalent of dropping the ball over Times Square.
By the way -- I'm hoping photos of this administration of justice flood the 'net and that the video quickly shows up on YouTube and elsewhere.

The document has, at last, been declassified.
THE SEIZURE OF THE SAUDI ARABIAN EMBASSY IN KHARTOUMSummary
In the early evening hours of 1 March 1973, eight Black September Organization (BSO) terrorists seized the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Khartoum as a diplomatic reception honoring the departing United States Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) was ending. After slightly wounding the United States Ambassador and the Belgian Charge d'Affaires, the terrorists took these officials plus the United States DCM, the Saudi Arabian Ambassador and the Jordanian Charge d'Affaires hostage. In return for the freedom of the hostages, the captors demanded the release of various individuals, mostly Palestinian guerrillas, imprisoned in Jordan, Israel and the United States.
The Khartoum operation was planned and carried out with the full knowledge and personal approval of Yasir Arafat, Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and the head of Fatah. Fatah representatives based in Khartoum participated in the attack, using a Fatah vehicle to transport the terrorists to the Saudi Arabian Embassy.
Initially, the main objective of the attack appeared to be to secure the release of Fatah/BSO leader Muhammed Awadh (Abu Da'ud) from Jordanian captivity. Information acquired subsequently reveals that the Fatah/BSO leaders did not expect Awadh to be freed, and indicates that one of the primary goals of the operation was to strike at the United States because of its efforts to achieve a Middle East peace settlement which many Arabs believe would be inimical to Palestinian interests.
Negotiations with the BSO terrorist team were conducted primarily by the Sudanese Ministers of Interior and of Health. No effort was spared, within the capabilities of the Sudanese Government, to secure the freedom of the hostages. The terrorists extended their deadlines three times, but when they became convinced that their demands would not be met and after they reportedly had received orders from Fatah headquarters in Beirut, they killed the two United States officials and the Belgian Charge. Thirty-four hours later, upon receipt of orders from Yasir Arafat in Beirut to surrender, the terrorists released their other hostages unharmed and surrendered to Sudanese authorities.
The Khartoum operation again demonstrated the ability of the BSO to strike where least expected. The open participation of Fatah representatives in Khartoum in the attack provides further evidence of the Fatah/BSO relationship. The emergence of the United States as a primary fedayeen target indicates a serious threat of further incidents similar to that which occurred in Khartoum.
The United States government should have adopted a policy similar to Israel's in the wake of this attack -- we should have hunted down and killed those involved in this act of war against the United States. More specifically, this means that rather than encoraaging dialogue with the slimy terrorist Arafat, United States forces should have found him and killed him -- or at least taken him into custody for trial and execution.
Instead, we adopted a policy of treating Arafat like a legitimate player in the Middle East, giving his "Palestinian Authority" funds which he and his cronies could loot for personal gain and encouraging Israel to negotiate with the murderer. In the process, we have given every subsequent terrorist band the message that the United States will not engage in any sustained effort to punish terrorists who strike at American interests, only encouraging such attacks.
What's more, the failure to level with the American people about this incident has allowed at least two generations of moral retards to argue that the United States and Israel are the aggressors and the Palestinians the innocent victims. Congress needs to investigate why this information was hidden, and publicize who the responsible parties were. And perhaps Jimmy Carter can retract his praise for a man he knew (or should have known) ordered the murder of American diplomats.

The Iranian government is partly to blame for a 1996 terrorist attack that killed 19 Americans in Saudi Arabia, a federal judge ruled Friday. The ruling by U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth allows the families of the victims of the Khobar Towers bombing to seek $254 million in compensation from the conservative Islamic regime in Tehran.
Though intelligence officials have suspected a link between the Tehran government and the Saudi wing of Hezbollah, which the FBI has accused of carrying out the bombing, Friday's ruling is the first time a branch of the U.S. government has officially blamed Iran for the deaths of Americans in the bombings.
''This court takes note of plaintiffs' courage and steadfastness in pursuing this litigation and their efforts to take action to deter more tragic suffering of innocent Americans at the hands of terrorists,'' Lamberth wrote. ''Their efforts are to be commended.''
Lamberth relied heavily on testimony by former FBI Director Louis Freeh, who investigated the bombings.
Two Iranian government security agencies and senior members of the Iranian government itself provided funding, training and logistical help to terrorists who carried out the attack on a dormitory that housed U.S. Air Force pilots and staff in Saudi Arabia, Freeh testified.
This unprovoked attack on American military personnel constitutes an act of war by Iran. There is therefore no need to await sanctions or any other action by the international community -- BOMB IRAN NOW!
