I Don’t See The Controversey

After all, given his association with Hamas the statement is undeniably true.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert called Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas a "terrorist" and accused him of transferring more than $1 million to militants to carry out attacks against Israel.

Haniyeh aide Ghazi Hamad said Olmert's statements were "confused and irresponsible".

Olmert's allegations, in an interview with Time magazine released on Friday, marked a sharp escalation in an Israeli campaign against Haniyeh and the unity government he formed with President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction this month.

Israel has been urging other countries to shun Haniyeh and the government, citing Hamas's refusal to recognise the Jewish state and renounce violence.

"Just lately Haniyeh transferred over a million dollars for a group of terrorists to carry out terrorist actions against Israeli citizens," Olmert said.

"He's a terrorist. You have a terrorist who is prime minister of the Palestinian Authority now."

Calling a terrorist a terrorist – how gauche!

Blog Recruits Terrorists

This is one reason we in the online community need to be vigilant for the cyber-jihadis in our midst.

"We were told to fight against Israel, America and non-Muslims," said Muhammed Bakhtiar, 17, explaining why he wanted to become a suicide bomber. "We are so unhappy with our lives here. We have nothing," he said.

Last month, Bakhtiar and his school friend, Miraj Ahmad, also 17, left their home, families, and boarding school in Buner, a district of the Malakand Division of the Northwest Frontier Province. Their destination was the Muridke madrassa right outside of Lahore, PakistanÂ’s second-largest city. The madrassa or religious school is run by the JamaÂ’at-ud-DaÂ’awah, the charity linked to the outlawed terrorist organization, Lashkar e Taiba. And Lashkar e Taiba has links to al-Qaida.

he grounds of this madrassa looks much like the campus of any exclusive boys boarding school – except for the bearded armed guards sporting Kalashnikovs checking all those who come and go. There is a cricket field, swimming pool, all sorts of sport activities, and horses too. In addition to religious instruction, the school offers computer sciences, engineering and pre-med classes for students ranging in age from six to 17.

It also offers jihad.

"We read about jihad in books and wanted to join," said Ahmad. "We wanted to go to the Muridke madrassa so we would have a better life in the hereafter."

Not only do we need to be vigilant, but law-enforcement needs to enforce laws against servers that host such terrorist supporting sites.

Surge Success Leading To Too Many Detained Terrorists To Suit Iraq War Opponents

And here they kept saying that the surge would be a failure – now they are complaining that it is too successful.

Hundreds of Iraqis detained in the Baghdad security crackdown have been crammed into two detention centers run by the Defense Ministry that were designed to hold only dozens of people, a government monitoring group said Tuesday.

The numbers suggested that the security planÂ’s emphasis on aggressive block-by-block sweeps of troubled neighborhoods in the capital had flooded IraqÂ’s frail detention system, and appeared to confirm the fears of some human rights advocates who have been predicting that the new plan would aggravate already poor conditions.

After all, we canÂ’t subject terrorists to less-than-optimal conditions, can we? ItÂ’s not like there are cold-blooded enemies of America and Iraq who are murdering civilians.

The Jihadi Goal – Keep The People Scared And Ignorant

It seems to be working in parts of Thailand.

THERE will be no children on the playground at Yaha primary school today, even though school should run for another week. The Government halted classes in southern Thailand two weeks ago to shield teachers from a brutal campaign.

Since the Muslim insurgency reignited in January 2004, 67 teachers have been murdered: shot in front of their class, beaten to death or set alight in a savage protest against the Thai education system. Another 80 have been injured.

The situation has deteriorated to such a level that the military provides escorts for teachers to and from school in hundreds of towns across the three southern provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat.

Islam may, at one time, have placed great value on learning – but its most forceful proponents today seem intent on promoting ignorance instead.

Five Taliban Rehabilitated At Pakistani School

Education, jihadi-style meets anti-terrorism, Pakistani-style.

Police challenged a group of suspected militants Monday at a high school in northwestern Pakistan after hearing that they wanted to "motivate" students for holy war, sparking a gunbattle that left six people dead, police said.

Five militants and one police officer were killed in the shooting at the privately run Oxford Public School in Tank, a town about 60 miles from the Afghan border, said Javed Khan, a local police officer. It was unclear whether any students were hurt.

Khan said the militants told the administrators of the boys' school to assemble the students so the militants could address them.

"They wanted to speak with the boys and motivate them for jihad," Khan said by telephone from Tank.

Looks like the Taliban want to turn every school into a terrorist-spawning madrassa.

For Those Who Think Saddam Didn’t Support Terrorism

Explain this.

A joint operation by Greek and US secret service officers in March 2003 led to the seizure of a large cache of explosives from the basement of the Iraqi Embassy in Athens, Kathimerini has learned.

“Operation Net” was launched just before the American invasion of Iraq after US authorities claimed to have been tipped off about the presence of a weapons cache in the embassy in Neo Psychico, sources have revealed. The informer is believed to be an Iraqi with links to the embassy.

Sources said a raid on the embassy unearthed explosive materials, car bombs, detonators, several guns and dozens of rounds of ammunition. Much of the material was “ready to use” while some was too old to be of any value, according to sources who said all the material was destroyed within a few weeks of discovery.

US secret services could not determine why the weapons cache had been kept at the embassy, although the possibility that it had been destined for use in a terrorist attack during the Athens 2004 Olympic Games has been ruled out.

‘Nuff said.

Terrorists Using Kids & Puppies

Where I grew up, such folks would be known as “scum”. Using kids -- including mentally handicapped ones -- as decoys and bombs is below sub-human.

Al Qaeda in Iraq is using kidnapped children to pick up weapons dropped in battle zones, get past checkpoints and die in car bombs, according to U.S. officials and Iraqis in Baghdad.

"Al Qaeda is using children to pick up weapons and ammunition knowing that U.S. troops will not shoot against children," said one U.S. military official, speaking on the condition of anonymity.

There has also been a reported incident in which children were used to drive safely past a checkpoint in order to detonate a car closer to a target.

"Men traveling with children in the back of their cars rarely get searched because they look like a family," said Hassan, a middle-aged Shi'ite living in one of the capital's older mixed neighborhoods.

"Then they leave the car and blow it up by remote control with the children in it," he said. Hassan, who did not want his full name used out of fear of retaliation, said at one point last year children with Down syndrome had been used to carry bombs.

And in the past theyÂ’ve used animals to deliver deadly cargo.

Insurgents in Iraq attached explosives to a dog and tried to blow up a military convoy near the northern oil centre of Kirkuk.

The canine bomb went off but the only casualty was the unfortunate animal, said police. The militants wrapped an explosive belt around the dog and detonated it as the convoy passed through Dakuk, 25 miles south of Kirkuk, said the town's police chief, Col Mohammed Barzaji.

"The dog was torn apart by the explosion which caused neither injury among the soldiers nor any damage."

I guess the terrorists donÂ’t have the courage to put themselves at risk, so they use kids and puppies instead. And yet they are the ones that Michael Moore, Sean Penn, and other moral midgets claim are freedom fighters and the equivalent of the Founding Fathers.

When Did George Washington Blow Up Kids To Murder Civilians?

You know, since so many folks on the Left claim the so-called insurgents (terrorists, really) are the equivalent of our Founding Fathers. After all, I'm not aware of George Washington ever engaging in tactics like this.

Insurgents detonated a bomb in a car carrying two children after using the children as decoys to get through a military checkpoint in Baghdad, an American general said Tuesday.

Speaking at a news briefing at the Pentagon, Maj. Gen. Michael Barbaro, deputy director for regional operations at the PentagonÂ’s Joint Staff, said that American soldiers had stopped the car at the checkpoint but allowed it to pass after they seeing the two children in the back seat.

“Children in the back seat lower suspicion,” he said, according to a transcript. “We let it move through. They parked the vehicle. The adults run out and detonate it with the children in back.”

General Barbaro offered no further specifics about the incident.

Savages -- supported by dupes who would rather believe worse of their own country than its enemies.

The Sickness Of The Terrorstinians

This is enough to make one wish to vomit.

Al-Aqsa TV, a station run by Hamas, aired an interview with the two young children of female Palestinian suicide bomber Rim al-Riyashi last week. The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) translated the interview and posted it on its website.

During the TV segment, the interviewer gently asked the children to count the number of Jews murdered by their mother and asked them to recite "Mama Rim," most likely a poem written in honor of the woman's "martyrdom."

The interviewer began, "Let's talk with the two children of the jihad-fighting martyrdom-seeker Rim Al-Riyashi -- Dhoha and Muhammad. Dhoha, you love mama, right? Where did mama go?" he asked.

"To paradise," the little girl answered.

"What did mama do?" the interviewer asked her. "She committed martyrdom," the child replied.

"She killed Jews, right? How many Jews did mama kill?" the interviewer asked.

"This many," replied the suicide bomber's son, Muhammad, holding up his hand with five fingers outstretched.

Rim Al-Riyashi blew herself up in January 2004 at the Karni border crossing between Gaza and Israel, killing four Israelis. She was 22 at the time and the first female suicide bomber recruited by Hamas.

This is Exhibit A in the case that these people not only do not deserve a state, but that the Israelis have shown admirable restraint in not inflicting larger casualties on these barbarians.

He's Confessed -- Now Kill The Jihadi Swine

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed has confessed to his involvement in 9/11 and more than two dozen planned or executed terrorist attacks on the US. He has done so before one of the Gitmo tribunals.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, confessed to that attack and a string of others during a military hearing at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, according to a transcript released Wednesday by the Pentagon.

Mohammed claimed responsibility for planning, financing, and training others for bombings ranging from the 1993 attack at the World Trade Center to the attempt by would-be shoe bomber Richard Reid to blow up a trans-Atlantic flight with explosives hidden in his shoes.

In all, Mohammed said he was responsible for planning 29 individual attacks, including many that were never executed. The comments were included in a 26-page transcript released by the Pentagon, which also blacked out some of his remarks.

he's an unlawful combatant who was involved in the intentional targeting and murder of American citizens. Speed him on his way to Hell by stringing him up with a rope dipped in bacon grease. He's gotten all the due process that he merits.

Hurrah For Cheney

The Vice President has hit the nail right on the head.

In his speech, Cheney chided lawmakers who are pressing for tougher action on Iran to oppose the president on the Iraq War.

"It is simply not consistent for anyone to demand aggressive action against the menace posed by the Iranian regime while at the same time acquiescing in a retreat from Iraq that would leave our worst enemies dramatically emboldened and Israel's best friend, the United States, dangerously weakened," he said.

Let's assume the absolute best about the Neo-Copperhead Democrats. Let's assume that, unlike their Democrat predecessors during the Lincoln Administration, that they are not actively seeking the defeat of American troops in the field, nor are they supportive of terrorism against the recently liberated as members of their party were for decades following the American victory the original Copperheads opposed. Let's assume, in short, that their motives are not based upon treasonous support for the enemies of America.

If one makes all those assumptions, the DemocratICK position is nonsensical, for it calls for weakening the US militarily, diplomatically, and politically while at the same time demanding that we be prepared to deal with a different threat. It calls for leaving the enemy alone and negotiating with a nation that has acted against American interests for thirty years, both directly and through surrogates, while being prepared for "tough action" against that same nation. Those positions are antithetical to one another -- and prepare us for Munich-like "peace in our times" proclamation while that enemy continues to prepare to act against us. In other words, at best, the DemocratICK position is dangerous and wrong-headed.

UPDATE: Even the Washington Post, no hotbed of reactionary neo-conservatism, thinks the DemocratICK plans are stupid

Dem Reserves Capitol Room For Pro-Islamist Organization

That's right -- a group that is more interested in denouncing the US government than jihadi terrorists and which has had four staffers convicted of terrorism-related charges will be using a conference room in the US Capitol, courtesy of a member of the Democrat majority.

A House Democrat has arranged for a conference room in the Capitol building to be used tomorrow by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim advocacy group criticized for its persistent refusal to disavow terrorist groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah.

The District-based group also is singled out by other Democratic lawmakers and some law-enforcement officials because of financial ties to terrorists.

Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr., New Jersey Democrat, reserved the basement conference room for CAIR's panel discussion Tuesday titled "Global Attitudes on Islam-West Relations: U.S. Policy Implications."

"We just see it as a simple room request," Pascrell spokesman Caley Gray said. "We did receive a room request and evaluated it and approved it."

He said the forum "opens up an important dialogue about global public opinion concerning the United States."

Still, the event's sponsor raised eyebrows on Capitol Hill, even if all sorts of groups routinely hold receptions and meetings in the Capitol.

"It does happen all the time but usually it is the United Way or some constituent group or Mothers Against Drunk Driving, not a group with supposed ties to terrorism -- in the Capitol no less," a Hill staffer said.

Mind you, this is a group that denounced and tried to disrupt

More the recent Secular Islam Summit and its participants. In the process, they rejected this statement of principles, the St. Peteresbrg Declaration -- which one can only presume lacks legitimacy among Muslims as much as the signers do.. I've highlighted some of the more outrageous illegitimate positions.

We are secular Muslims, and secular persons of Muslim societies. We are believers, doubters, and unbelievers, brought together by a great struggle, not between the West and Islam, but between the free and the unfree.

We affirm the inviolable freedom of the individual conscience. We believe in the equality of all human persons.

We insist upon the separation of religion from state and the observance of universal human rights.

We find traditions of liberty, rationality, and tolerance in the rich histories of pre-Islamic and Islamic societies. These values do not belong to the West or the East; they are the common moral heritage of humankind.

We see no colonialism, racism, or so-called “Islamaphobia” in submitting Islamic practices to criticism or condemnation when they violate human reason or rights.

We call on the governments of the world to

* reject Sharia law, fatwa courts, clerical rule, and state-sanctioned religion in all their forms; oppose all penalties for blasphemy and apostacy, in accordance with Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human rights;

* eliminate practices, such as female circumcision, honor killing, forced veiling, and forced marriage, that further the oppression of women;

* protect sexual and gender minorities from persecution and violence;

* reform sectarian education that teaches intolerance and bigotry towards non-Muslims;

* and foster an open public sphere in which all matters may be discussed without coercion or intimidation.

We demand the release of Islam from its captivity to the totalitarian ambitions of power-hungry men and the rigid strictures of orthodoxy.

We enjoin academics and thinkers everywhere to embark on a fearless examination of the origins and sources of Islam, and to promulgate the ideals of free scientific and spiritual inquiry through cross-cultural translation, publishing, and the mass media.

We say to Muslim believers: there is a noble future for Islam as a personal faith, not a political doctrine;

to Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, BahaÂ’is, and all members of non-Muslim faith communities: we stand with you as free and equal citizens;

and to nonbelievers: we defend your unqualified liberty to question and dissent.

Before any of us is a member of the Umma, the Body of Christ, or the Chosen People, we are all members of the community of conscience, the people who must chose for themselves.

Yeah, that's right -- a group opposed to these principles will be using the US Capitol to further disseminate its hatred and bigotry. What next -- will Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. be reserving rooms for the KKK and American Nazi Party, if they make a "simple room request"?

Iraq Surge Troops Move Into Sadr City

Time to root the militia rats out of this Shiite rat-hole.

Hundreds of U.S. soldiers entered the Shiite stronghold of Sadr City on Sunday in the first major push into the area since an American-led security sweep began last month around Baghdad.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military announced three deaths on Sunday.

Soldiers conducted house-to-house searches through the densely populated grid of squat two- and three-story buildings, but met no resistance in a district firmly in the hands of the Mahdi Army militia led by the radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, said Lt. Col. David Oclander.

The only problem I see with this move is that political correctness kept it from happening a couple of years ago. Here's hoping they take out the "big cheese" while they are at it.
