A college professor whose planned course on creationism and intelligent design was canceled after he derided Christian conservatives said he was beaten by two men along a rural road early Monday.University of Kansas religious studies professor Paul Mirecki said the men referred to the class when they beat him on the head, shoulders and back with their fists, and possibly a metal object, the Lawrence Journal-World reported.
"I didn't know them," Mirecki said of his assailants, "but I'm sure they knew me."
Messages left by the Associated Press on Mirecki's cell phone were not immediately returned.Sheriff's Lt. Kari Wempe said Mirecki reported the attack just before 7 a.m.
The professor said he confronted the men after they were tailgating his vehicle along a road south of Lawrence. "I'm mostly shaken up, and I got some bruises and sore spots," he said.
Now tell me, how many folks stop their vehicles and get out in order to confront a tailgater? Very few – and none with even a modicum of common sense. You make way for them to pass – and call the police if their behavior is particularly outrageous.
No, this sounds like an ersatz “hate crime” designed to discredit Mirecki’s critics and bolster his own standing at a time when he is under fire from all sides.

Based on the report I read he pulled over to let the fine christian men who were tailgating him pass and only got out after they stopped, got out and approached his vehicle.
That said, these Christian soldiers were clearly only doing God's work by trying to rid the earth of this servant of Satan.

2) If this was a real attack by so-called Christians, their actions were antithetical to Christian teaching. Given that it is Kansas, I would have to guess that such attackers,if they exist, would belong to the Fred Phelps cult.

And as i said, if the attack did happen, it was likely member of the Fred Phelps cult, not an actual Christian group.

Seriously, what we really need is what they have over in Saudi Arabia, 'enforcers' who go around making sure people are not doing any 'un-islamic' activities. Yes, these christian soldiers are doing their duty, sorta like those vigilante border guards. Got mit uns!

I mean, this is a liberal were talking about and so in the absence of any evidence at all that he faked it, it's still important to blame the victim first.
Like these girls who claim that the good Christian man who "raped" them did it against their will. They're all liars. You guys have convinced me. Even without any evidence at all, it's important to always blame the victim first (well at least if the victim is a digusting liberal).

I'm simply pointing out here that the facts in question do not add up. Dr. Mike Adams has some very interesting details in his most recent column that points out some of the problems with the story -- such as the fact that one of the alleged assailants was wearing a sun visor at least an hour before dawn, and that the professor claims to have been able to distinguish its color in the dark. Taken together with the illogical actions the professor is alleged to have taken and the incredible convenience of the alleged attack, I am suspicious of the story. I'll concede it all could be true -- but i have strong doubts.
Lastly, given the fact that a close family member and a number of friends and students have all been victims of sexual abuse or assault, I am deeply offended by your statement. Unless a retraction and apology are forthcoming, you will be banned from this site.

Now you threaten to ban a God-fearing Christian like myself.
Are you a liberal in disguise?

It's ridiculous to see apparent atheists like Rhymes With Right here, pretned to be a good Christian and then attempt to ban another of God's warriors.

As such, I'll be in touch with the new ISP you are using -- and your college.
