Queen 9% Preaches About Lack Of Credibility
When you and the institution you lead have only a 9% approval rating, where do you get off making a statement like this?

"God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States -- a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject."
After all, with a 33% approval rating, President George W. Bush is standing head and shoulders above Congress in terms of his credibility with the American people.
And let's consider some things:
- We've won in Iraq -- a war you and your party said was lost.
- Bush's repeal of Executive Branch drilling restrictions resulted in a huge drop in oil prices -- you call drilling a hoax.
- Oh, yeah -- that resulted in an increase in stock prices, while you still refuse to allow a vote on offshore drilling.
So, Ma-DUMB Speaker, I wouldn't go raising the credibility issue. That would be even uglier for you than your last face-lift and botox treatment.

The reason that the approval rating of Congress is so low is that half of the county is upset that they have not done more to end the war and the other half is upset that they tried.
If Bush had pushed for energy independence on 9/12, he could have had his drilling as long as it was accompanied by conservation and heavy investment in non carbon based technology. This is the real failure of Bush. He could have been a truely great leader if he had seen that the root cause of our problems are our dependence of foreign oil. Imagine how much better off our country would be if we had spent all those billions of dollars on energy R&D instead of down that rat hole in Iraq.

United States of America -- Earth.
The good news is happening daily in Iraq -- which is why the MSM doesn't want to report on it.
And oil prices have declined by about 8% since Bush lifted the restrictions -- just imagine what would happen in Queen 9% would allow the Congress to take up and vote upon a measure to let the drilling begin.
And may I point out to you that the "total failure" in the White House has still managed to get most of his agenda through a Congress controlled by Queen 9% -- who has been a total failure in implementing the promised agenda of 2006.

For Nancy Pelosi to continue to make statements about our Presdent, and the current administration, makes me wonder if she is just laying the groundwork to have a place to shift the blame for everything that goes wrong after his term is up. Also, does she think that the people in the United States are so ignorant that they believe her when she makes statements holding one man responsible for the war in Iraq, the economy, the housing crisis, etc. Shows how ignorant she it.

That is quite a stretch to say that we've "won in Iraq." What do you define as a win? Deposing a leader? Then we've won. A save environment with a strong democracy? No where close.
And the drop in oil prices has nothing to do with offshore drilling? It has to do with economic contraction and a large drop in oil demand. The amount of off-shore oil in America is like a raindrop in the ocean.
And while I'm no Pelosi fan, that 9% approval rating is split equally between Democrats and Republicans. Could you rationally argue that if it was a Republican house the approval rating would be much higher?
And Lydia, who would you hold responsible for today's problems?

Yeah, Craig, maybe you are right -- weeks after weeks of increasing oil prices end THE SAME DAY the President repeals that absurd executive order -- beginning right after the announcement is made. Can't be any connection at all, can there?
And remember -- troop deaths are down, Iraqi control of provinces and military readiness is up, and we've had a couple of very successful elections. I'd say we won -- pretty convincingly, I might add.

Oil is down over $16 since the Bush announcement. Nah, those wouldn't be dropping oil prices, according to the wahoos commenting here.
