A Quote To Remember

How true this is.

Wherever there is a jackboot stomping on a human face there will be a well-heeled Western liberal to explain that the face does, after all, enjoy free health care and 100 percent literacy. -- John Derbyshire

Because after all, the United States (not to mention Israel) is the true focus of evil in the world, not oppressive dictatorships and sharia states that oppress their people.

From the article linked, "Ambassador Joseph E. Davies purring over the “exceedingly wise and gentle” Stalin".

It's so much easier to be a left leaning socialist when you discount the atrocities to humanity done in the name of progressive socialism; murdering those who stand in the way of that progress is one way to overlook the short comings of such a change.

All this is mere justification for American Empire and its meddling in the Moslem world. Although not a left liberal I know of none who can be quoted to the effect they believe in any Moslem country's form of government nor of the religion of Islam. This contrasts with the true beliving Marxists, Maoists and Stalinists of past American Left history.

What America Firsters, Right and Left, oppose is the Empire's pro-Israel financing ,its overthrowing of Arab/Moslem world leaders eg. Mossadegh and Hussein , its myriad bases, its dealing with the House of Saud in alliance with big oil plutocrats.

Kim du Toit is among the shallow faux "conservatives" whose ideology is fueled largely by Islamophobia, repudiation of his native South African tradition, avowed  atheism etc. His strong points are gun rights and immigration but his pro-Iraq war diversions and apologia for alliance with Israel vitiate the good work he does in his area of expertise.

4 Thank you, KKKen, for proving that the extereme Left and extreme Right are not polar opposites of each other, but simply the meeting point opposite those of us (conservative AND liberal) who love human liberty.

5 And once again, KKKen, I insist that you quit citing hate-mongers and racists on my site.

Check the transcript of President Jimmy Carter's interview today on "Meet the Press" for another "hatemonger" and "racist" in the siteowner's tautologically trite evaluations of same. Carter rightly accused the Israelis of practising apatheid against Palestinians in some manner worse than did South Africa against blacks.

7 Carter has been re-writing history for years in his attempt to create a legacy of something other than failure and weakness.

"Weakness?" The past several years of the Bush/neocon Middle East policy favoring Likud Party policy and racism has made the US weaker than ever in that part of the world.

9 The US is quite strong, and is right in its policies.

A pity that the fifth column of socialist leftists and fascist rightists are undermining the potential for victory over terrorists.

10 Yeah -- one would have to be utterly unfamiliar with the Carter administration to characterize Jimmy Carter as anything other than the worst American President ever.

Oh, that's right, KKKen -- America deserved the invasion of our embassy and the holding of American hostages. A real president would have bombed Iran back into the Stone Age. But Carter so weakened the military that such was not possible.

Carter? We saw how fast Reagan ran out of Beirut---seems the US ruling class senses America hasn't the political will to stand the test of a inter-generationally  more aggressive intrusion into a region where it will meet firm resistance. We can aptly contrast that with the lack of resistance here to the Hispanic invasive intrusion.

12 Unfortunately, we were unprepared to act in 1983, having not yet had our military recover from the Carter disarmament.

Republican loyalist to the core aren't you? You play mini-politics, I play mega-politics.

14 No, KKKen -- I examine the world through a critical historical lens, and you examine it through the warped, discredited and corrupt ideology of Hitler.

As I alluded, hoping you'd catch your cop-out, Reagan retreated, just as America is going to do in Iraq. And if Carter had so weakened the military, Reagan was more the fool for attempting to run interference for Israel's invasion of Lebanon. Seems like your hero Ronnie didn't plan on a..."mini-insurgency" just as careless Bush was oblivious to the current one.

16 Actually, KKKen, I'm not surprised that you are a fan of Carter, given his ever-increasing desire to let the Arabs murder the Jews in the name of "justice." He is a disgrace to this nation -- as are you.
