1 My doctor refused to do the lap band surgery on me two days before the surgery was to be done because I have Lupus. He says the maker of lap band does not recommend performing this type of surgery on Lupus patients because the material would erode the lining of the stomach. Has anyone out there who is a Lupus patient had successful lap band surgery? Please talk to me!
