You need to keep the light and heat out when the sun beats down on your house. I'm thinking that maybe some Custom Blinds like these blackout Roman shades may be the solution to the high energy costs associated with all that light and heat, and would be a good decorating solution as well.

Not only is the price right, but so is the quality. If you doubt me, look at the wood blinds and other sorts of blinds and shades they hang when next you watch Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. They provide the blinds and shades for the show.
