White House press secretary Tony Snow, who has become the face of the Bush presidency over the last year, has cancer again.Snow's deputy, Dana M. Perino, broke into tears at an off-camera briefing this morning as she announced that the cancer has spread to his liver. Doctors discovered it when they operated on Snow on Monday to remove a small growth that had developed in his lower abdomen.
Snow, 51, who underwent surgery and months of chemotherapy for colon cancer two years ago, plans once again to "go after it as aggressively" as he can, Perino said, but it was unclear when or whether he would be able to return to work.
"Of course, we're pulling for Tony," Perino said. "We certainly gain strength from his optimism. We know he's going to beat it again."
I'm curious what the reaction will be over on DU, Kos, and HuffPo to this news. Do we even need to look to know?

Go take a look, Greg.
As of this writing there are 483 comments over at Kos----I'd estimate 95% of them are prayers and well-wishes for Tony Snow and his family, and shared stories of personal colon cancer tragedies.
There are some jackasses to be sure, just as there always are at Free Republic when tragedy befalls a Democrat. But if you read closely, the 5% are being given the what-for by the 95%!

Is there lots of bashing of the Edwards' "motives," yes.
Referring to her as a "fat cow," yes.
And a person asking "When's Bill Clinton going to get cancer?" Yes.
Sympathy? Not as much as one would like.
