PETA Ghouls Drop Dead Dogs And Cats In Shopping Mall Dumpsters

Well, this story is even more disgusting than my earlier post on PETA's abyssmal euthanasia rate at its shelters.

Two individuals from Hampton Roads, employees of the Norfolk-based People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, were arrested Wednesday night in Ahoskie, N.C., on animal cruelty charges.

The two were arrested after authorities allege they dumped dead dogs and cats in a dumpster at a shopping center on Memorial Drive in Ahoskie.

Andrew Benjamin Cook, 24, of Virginia Beach, and Adria Joy Hinkle, 27, of Norfolk, were arrested at the shopping center. Police say they found 18 dead animals in the dumpster and 13 dead animals in the couple's van, which according to authorities, is registered to PETA. Both suspects were charged with 31 counts of animal cruelty and eight counts of illegal disposal of animals.

According to police, the animals were from two North Carolina animal shelters - one in Northampton County and the other in Bertie County.

Officials say the animals were alive when they left the shelters, but have not said how they died.

This pet lover is horrified at the obvious cruelty -- and at the fact that these animals were clearly treated with no compassion by these PETA-philes.

1 It's one thing to do the dreadful things they do to children, all in the name of "save the animals". But to turn around and do even more hideous things to animals than what they're protesting is just ludicrous!

I can't believe that animal lovers still believe in them, and send them money! I'm guessing they must be brainwashed, dumb, or both!

2 Umm...I'm not sure if I understand Sherri right, but the abuse of children is far worse than the abuse of animals. Abuse of animals gets on my nerves, but I don't think it should be illegal. Abuse of children is evil.

PETA - their hypocrisy knows no end.

3 I can't be 100% sure of what Sherri meant, but I think that she was talking about PETA's campaigns to tell young kids that their parents are murderers. They have launched campaigns in the past with kids as the clear targets of very gruesome pamphlets and the like. Here is a link to one:

Showing things like that to kids is over the line and cruel to them, and I think that's what Sherri was referring to. I just can't believe that they took it that far! It really is horrible.

They really are hypocrites, I thought that with how they stand on all the other animal issues, they would want to at least preserve the lives of animals. Guess not! The philosophy that someone or something isn't worth anything unless they're "wanted" is not only insane, it's downright cruel. I really hope that this issue is further publicized and they lose their contributor base. I'm sure that most people would be horrified at some of the tactics these people use.
