1 As a person dealing with the fallout of severe molestation (my adoptive kids, not me), I say that you do not strangle the jerk.

What you do is you deal with the fallout. You don't freak out in front of the kids. You work your ass off making sure they understand it wasn't their fault. You work through the physical problems the rape has caused.

What you don't do is get yourself imprisoned and leave the kids to be cared for by another.

Interestingly, I'll take a stance and I would not have convicted. He's an incredibly weird man, has odd habits, and REALLY strange behaviors with kids, but that doesn't make him a pederast. On top of that, the witnesses lacked credibility. On the other hand, if I was a better judge of character, my (again, adoptive) kids would have been living in my house three years ago and not have had to have gone through two years of hell before they got out.

Jackson needs to stay the hell away from kids that are not his own.

3 Thanks for the well wishes. The kids are doing great and their psychiatrist, counselor, case manager, guardian at litem, and the judge have all said the kids are remarkably well adjusted...even not considering their circumstances.

The doves...well, let's just say I'd have having poultry that night.
