Could You Imagine The Outrage

if this headline were tweaked just a little bit?

New Orleans struggles to keep its black character

Could you imagine the outrage if some community were to be trying to keep its "white character"?

Sorry folks -- racism is racism is racism -- and the effort noted in this article should be seen as no less offensive than one designed to "keep white culture alive."

1 You would get sued if you use 'white' in the headline.  Blacks can get away with racism.  With Muslims it's even worse.  No, Islam is not a race, but that is how it is treated.  You say one word against Islam and you are a racist, Islamophobe, or as one commenter said last night at Right Truth, 'so this is another KKK blog'.

Of course she went on to say how they (Muslims) would fight to the death until they defeated us ...  But I guess that's not discrimination?  The Muslim American Society issues a fatwa against U.S. airports, telling cab drivers to "discriminate against would-be passengers who have alcohol, pets, ...".  Then they turn around and sue because the 6 imams were removed from the airplane.  You can't have it both ways ... unless you are Muslim.

2 I won't go quite that far -- but I just wish more folks would recognize and condemn the double standard.
