Kaplan Distance Learning

Now my second job involves teaching on the college level. It is a great deal of fun, but we've recently introduced a new twist into the program -- most of the work is now done under a "distance learning" format. What this means is that most of the work done by my students is done at home -- and that most of the content delivery that I do is done over the internet. At the end of their entire program, students graduate with an Associates Degree.

Well, we are not the only folks in the distance learning business -- indeed, there are a great many programs that are set up on a distance learning model that teach entire courses in that manner. One of those is found at http://www.kaplanopenlearning.org.uk/distance-learning.html, where they have a Distance Learning program that is well-respected in the UK.

Why choose a distance learning program with Kaplan? Well, because of the freedom it gives you. You can study where you want to study, and do your coursework where you want to do it. You don't have to worry about commuting too and from school, and you can work on your material WHEN YOU WANT TO, not based upon the college's "master schedule". And best of all, when you are done with your course of study you have a degree from a respected educational institution.

WHo is this sort of program good for? Well, ANYONE -- anyone who doesn't want to deal with commuting or dorm life, anyone who has a job, a career, or a family that makes the scheduled commitment that goes with a traditional college program difficult to live up to. Sound interesting? Then check out Kaplan!
