What Are Her Qualifications?

Well, this certainly settles matters. Gwyneth Paltrow has spoken on the policies of George W. Bush and found them wanting.

"I've always been drawn to Europe. America is such a young country, with an adolescent swagger about it," she said.

"But I feel that I have a more European sensibility, a greater respect for the multicultural nature of the globe. And it's a strange time to be an American now."
"I feel like we're really in trouble. I just had a baby and thought 'I don't want to live there.' Bush's anti-environment, pro-war policies are a disgrace."

I mean, what is the purpose of having any further discussions on the issue. After all, AmericaÂ’s most prominent and revered political commentators pointed out the obvious some years ago.

Actors – is there anything they don’t know?

Thank you, Homer Simpson, for helping us understand why we should heed Ms. PaltrowÂ’s sagacious utterances.

1 You're right, of course, but, for whatever reason, stupid people want to know what celebrities think, wear, etc. I'm just glad that Paltrow is insightful enough to realize how bad Bush is.

2 If ole Gwynnie is so smart, why isn't she President? If Europe is so mature, smart, and good, why aren't any of their countries superpowers?

Europe abounds with racism. I've got clients in England, France, Belgium, and Germany with whom I interact on a regular basis, and they're going insane with immigration. They hate it and they hate the immigrants. Racist jokes abound.

CRIPES but these people are completely stupid.

3 Why would she want to be president? Doesn't pay as much as being an actress, and you don't get to work with Jude Law.

4 She, and many others in Hollywood, are (here comes the phrase of the day) "Stuck On Stupid."
